It seems like Rabbit tends to malfunction a lot more when she's distressed; her movements become a lot jerkier and more robotic, and her ticks and twitches seem to multiply. And to keep that up while belting it out, damn Bunny is an impressive performer!

Well not the actress, obviously. Do note that I said Rabbit, not Bunny or Isabella. But Rabbit, the Robot, is quite disfunctional, old and only somewhat insane. It's easy to believe she could see something that wasn't really there.

i'll never understand how performers do that thing they do with the making you feel things with a song just by emotion but i love it. like. i have no personal connection to this song in a normal sense. i've never had the feelings that are being sung about. but it still makes me feel something. and they do it every time every performance. it is a special little mystical magic that i'm glad exists in this world.

You know, this song is truly beautiful all around, but I find the line, "I let myself go" particularly significant. Sure, the robots are supposed to be over a century old, and the general implication of the song is the Rabbit had fallen in love with a human and lost them because the robots are supposed to be unaging, but they're not immortal. I think the song highlights the inevitability that the robots will, themselves, eventually die. They rust, fall apart, time passes, and even with constant maintenance from the Walter Workers, eventually they'll fall apart and cease to function, essentially ending their lives. If they were to ever end the band (God forbid), it seems logical that that is how they would end the story of the robots. I can honestly picture Rabbit singing this song to themself in their final moments as their systems finally give out and their gears seize up.

Idk why, but Rabbit's malfuction didn't break my heart quite as much as watching her at 4:54 to 5:08, where she tried to embrace the air and opened her eyes, only to realize nothing was there... I wanted to give her a hug so badly... Still, great video. Hatchworth, you're getting a lot better at moving like a robot! Can't wait to see more! Out of curiosity, are there gonna be music videos for the songs on the MK III album?

Isaiah Sea The lead in this song, Rabbit, is a trans woman. This is still her old "male" design, but it's respectful to still use someone's new pronouns even in the past tense.

Isaiah Sea shes trans (male to female) this performance was pre-transition, but it’s generally more respectful to refer to her with her up to date pronouns. Kinda like how if someone changes their name, you don’t keep calling them by their old one

Here's a story for the song.. I'm an awkward guy, and I never thought someone could ever see me the way she saw me. I was walking along the street, going through my past. Heading up to the store to buy icecream. I remembered how many guys would treat me like crap. It sucked. I look up through the trees and see the beautiful sun shining through it was getting late. The clouds were scattered everywhere. And there's her.. Glowing eyes, beautiful face, flowing hair. I stared at her.. she looked at me and blushed. We stood there staring at each other. So I went up to her and started talking. We joked about things. She seemed super cool. We started hanging out a lot, and I got to know her really well. Turns out that we had classes together at school. So I always say by her in them. The guys got jealous, a lot. I brushed them off, and kept enjoying everyday with her. I asked her to prom, and she was excited. She was so beautiful too in her green dress. Pinned up hair with a hint of makeup. So we spent college together, too. We went our own ways for a while and got back together when we graduated. We traveled to other countries with a few friends. For a few years, we were roommates. I asked her to marry me , during a sunset in the forest. She said yes. We were may in love. Soon after we had our wedding she became pregnant. I was so nervous, but we ha our first son. Years passed by and we had two more boys. It was so much fun watching them grow up. It was hard, but I don't regret anything. So our boys graduated and went off to college. My wife and I decided travel again. We had the time of our lives, but we were getting old. White hair grew and so did our wrinkles. She grew ill.. and I felt like dying at that point. I was depressed. She soon passed away, and my heart wasn't broken. I knew that I was going to see her soon. "Hello?" She says to me. I snap out of it. I'm back. I realize that I'm still standing here staring at her. She smiles, and we start talking.

@Takatama81 Rabbit- the robot singing lead in this song- is trans, like her actress. This was filmed before her transition, when she was still performing in "boy mode", as she calls it. We still refer to Rabbit as "she" and "her" in pre-transition performances though, because she's always been a lady, we just didn't know it!

I think this version being slightly faster than the studio recording makes it much more enjoyable for me. The studio sounds like it's dragging so slowly but this is perfect. It's nice to see how much character they put into their live shows!
