The whole big content subplot is by far the most comedically complete improv I've ever heard. Amazing.

Hey I've got a minute so I'm gonna reply to a bunch of comments 1. The reason I've never seen the Simpsons is when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to watch adult shows. The only adult cartoons I could watch were adult swim, because I could watch it sneakily as a kid. The Simpsons always came on during the day - and as well, when I was channel surfing, there were no shows that made me go to Fox. Around middle school I pretty much just stopped watching TV altogether in favor of the internet - so I just never caught an episode. 2. No I have never seen this scene I only saw a couple of memes about it that completely changed the dialogue so I had no idea what actually happened - only that it was called "Steamed Hams" and what visually happens in the episode, that's why I said "steaming hams" and was able to keep up with what was happening. I watched it afterwards and only recognized the "Aurora Borealis" thing because I have friends and am a fan of channels that constantly make simpsons references. 3. Yes I did improv the whole thing in one take, however I did have to completely stop like 4 times because I have Jimmy Fallon syndrome and I can't say anything I think is funny without laughing, so to keep the whole thing from being me giggling to myself about one joke, I'd stop the video and the recording to laugh for a bit, then start again.

This reminds me of the good old days me and my friend used to watch any movies turn the volume off and we made the characters talk.

That is probably one of those Videos I find funny for now, than I rewatch it in 5 years by accident and then I will think "How the hell did I find this funny in the first place?"

It's actually really cool to see an interpretation of this scene from someone who doesn't know what's happening in it. To anyone who knows the Simpsons, this is such an iconic scene and you could never imagine it happening any other way. But it goes to show that if you come at it with a blank slate (and not knowing what they're actually saying lol) you can interpret the story in all sorts of ways.

I appreciate how the god cameo went full circle. 10/10 improv

You see, I feel like this would be the actual dialogue in Family Guy. This really shows how much smarter and therefore funnier the Simpsons humor is. Everyone my generation knows Family Guy a lot more, but they really need to check out the older Simpsons seasons. It probably says a lot though, we may be getting dumber as a species.
