Don't know why people put Chalmers in the wrong. Nobody in the original segment was in the wrong; Seymour wants to make Chalmers happy, and Chalmers wants a decent meal from Seymour.

And most of the time in the old Simpsons episodes, Chalmers had some decent, if not rough, criticism of Seymour.
