Steampunk Fantasy Sci-Fi short film trailer AIRLORDS OF AIRIA. Please spread and share, if you would like to see a feature film or series one day.
Airlord Karak, admiral of a fleet of airships, discovered a powerful ancient weapon on an expedition. After he conquered the Wodnik 7 naval base, he plots to seize power of the Airia Republic and drag the entire continent into war. Lura the chief of police joins forces with a gang of smugglers in order to thwart the power-hungry admiral's plans.
AIRLORDS OF AIRIA is a fast-paced mix of science fiction, fantasy and steampunk elements. The viewer is led into a fantasy world where many unknown lands, cultures and life forms are still to be discovered, and every day holds a new adventure.
AIRLORDS OF AIRIA is a feature film Project. An elaborate 10-minute special was produced with amateur actors in order to give you a taste into the world of Airlords.

@Timothy McCaskey Actually, many actors are affordable. There's also many examples of big movies where basically non-actors were used and through good casting, coaching and directing, the performances were really good.

I love the over dubbing . It makes me feel like I am in a different world where the language is different, and there is an illusion they are speaking a language no one in our world understands.Also It makes it very stylish and merits its own artistic licensing- making it very unique AND FuNNy! It also feels more vintage when it takes me back to old foreign films that are overdubbed! It makes me smile very much, thank you very much for making my day very happy😂

I Find myself watching this one over and over...I think the actors made it come off as more real and believable, like.... I can picture myself in the scenario. I don't think Harrison Ford, Shawn Connery and Natalie Portman in it would have made it any better. I really don't know much about Steam Punk but I really liked this one...

Awesome material!!! Why can't the Sci Fi (refuse to label that sissy "SyFy" bullshit) Channel come out with such innovative ideas such as these--I've had it up to my ass with zombie and vampire flicks already! SteamPunk should be the order of the day! And how about some Sherlock Holmes, Jules Verne or even HP Lovecraft to supplement the lineup?? ( PS Last show on Sci Fi akin to this was "The Adventures of Jules Verne" (or something like that) which I remember aired around 2000 or 2001.)

Whilst I LOVE this genre, I cannot but regard Steampunk as jewelry to strut in. There are items out there that work, however. Steamfired watches, levers and gears that operate function - and it is this that I am utterly in awe of. Sadly, the vast majority are but poseurs and I simply cannot take it seriously. However, any person who expresses themselves to be that which they see themselves as without shame, fear or embarrasment, has my sincere respect. And it's in that which I admire those who follow this fashion.

I love this!!! I would totally buy / watch this film in cinema! The acting is a bit stiff and the special effects obvious, but for an amateur production it's great. I love the designs and ideas behind it. It's absolutely worth becoming a larger production! Good luck, all the best and may your hydrogen tanks always be full!

An excellent job of blending the live actors with the cgi, some terrific designs, a lot to applaud here! Acting is variable - even leaving out the voices (in German or English dub), some can't help grinning to be in such a cool thing, despite everything supposed to be crashing around them. Good luck to all who sail in this, I hope you do get to develop it further.

There is much about the film that I liked and I hesitate to criticize. That said, the weak link was acting. Writing and story was good, sets and costumes were excellent, and animations top-notch.

This.short movie. Was. AWESOME. There is not that much more to say than this movie literally blew my mind. I've seen SO many crappy short movies and I was actually expecting this one to be just as crappy. But it was definatly not. Great work, I'm amazed that some high corporation had funded this movie idea and hit it on the cinemas for a long movie. That would have been AMAZING.

First the bad: The acting needs a little bit of work. No biggie. A little more practice makes perfect. Then the good: Everything else. This is outstanding. Very well done. Very enjoyable to watch. Had to pause it a bunch of times the second time I watched it just to get a full appreciation of the detail and cinematography. You guys did a great job. You should send this in to Netflix. They're always looking for a good idea for a new, original series and I think you guys have a winner here. I'm looking forward to your next one.

It's a very unique genre. You have to understand it as being at a time when technology is that of the Victorian, possibly Edwardian Age (before WW1) without large navies or land armies. An air-like aristocracy run the show with imperial majesty. Civil liberties are very high pre-1913 so no gun restrictions nor restrictions on private ownership of air-craft or even airships for those that can afford it. There's no mass junk coming in from China so all items have a crafted appeal and are built to last. No decline in moral values via the TV, next to no drugs also means people do other things with their lives instead of waste away with these distractions. Now compare that to the BS we have right now in the world and you can see why it might be a bit bizarre.

For me the best: - Designs, concepts, script, cinematography, production (wow, huge project) Areas of improvement (for me): - Color correction and integration. There is a huge difference between CGI, 2D elements, and real-footage, so the blending of them looks really disturbing... - I see there was a huge quantity of shots to work on, so i don't mind about the green borders in the cropped elements... but be careful with those (i guess you already know) - Some acting... really... and the voice acting is great, but doesn't fit the acting at all, looks like a videogame. - Dragon animations... In render, i see that you lack "global illumination", more definition and scattering of light, specially on the dragon.. could have looked really good. GREAT GREAT project, really interesting,, for sure. Keep up the good work.

I would certainly agree with the majority of this criticism its very fair. It really is a great project though, very enjoyable to watch with a wonderful steam-punk style that really needs to make it to be big screen more. While the dubbing was a little stiff and mismatched in places I do really appreciate the effort that was made with it, I find subtitles to be very distracting and I think we would miss out on the wonderful visuals if they were used.

Rook- I totally agree about the dubbing. For a film such as this with lots of action the reading the dubbing would interfere with watching the action. Ask your self what is more distracting. The words coming across the screen or the slightly mismatched words to lip movement. I'll take the slight lip out of sinc. anyday.

Strange, I have an entirely opposite point of view. Out of sync lips always completely pull away my emotional involvement and suspension of disbelief. Perhaps because I am a very fast reader subtitles barely intrude after a moment? But most of my friends agree they would prefer original language in a foreign film & subtitles ~ I think this is the first time I have ever heard anyone prefer dubbing, actually.

As an indie filmmaker I can relate to the problems with the acting. I would've rather watched this with original dialogue. The fx and visuals were cool, a bit campy but the compositioning was great!

This is a film that deserves a lot of credit as the ideas turned into a punk film called "Air lords of Aria" reminds me of an earlier time where Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, and Phantom Empire serials were shown on the big screen. I loved this! The costume, the slightly out of sync vocals, the airships were awesome, armed dragon riders, the story line...what's not to like! Wonderful Experience! Spokane Valley, Washington, USA

The dialog needs a good script editor. Too much telling, too little showing. And it needed a Science Guy. And at 50,000 kilometers from the Earth the Moon's tidal forces would be so strong that they would tear down anything man would try to build, and floods and storms would render the earth uninhabitable. Great set and costume design, however.

story: good, music: excellent, acting: very poor, english dub: good, cgi: very good, scenes: pretty good (a little color correction / color matching would have sold the shots way better)
