Stedi Plug & play wiring harness, Stedi Type X Pro & AE CO behind grill bracket
We finally got around to installing our Stedi Type X Pro spotlights. We decided to mount them behind the grill using an AE CO bracket and a Stedi plug & Play wiring harness.
This would have to be one of the easiest sets of lights I’ve installed and wired. When it comes to 12v accessories the wiring side can be a little daunting but this harness was as simple as they come and with clear instructions.
Of course I put my own little twist on the install by doing things a little more to my own taste. The results a heap of extra light and a nice clean install that was relatively simple.

Had a few cars with led headlights. The Y62 series 5 are right up there. They even give a good spread on low and high beam. Keep up the vids , truck looking awesome.

Are you worried about increased temps due to blocking the cooling systems air flow with those large lights?

At this point I’m not, there is soo much rime back there I think it’ll still get decent air flow but I’ll definitely keep an eye on them

Love the look .Would also say maybe keep a check on Temps but modern vehicles so efficient should be good

Thanks mate. Yeah will do, it’s a pretty big grill but the lights do take up a bit of space

thanks for the video. do you need to drop part of the dash to access firewall and the back of that switch panel?

Great video mate, installed my spotties today with a similar plug and play set up. Having trouble getting the blank plug out in the dash to put my switch in tho, do you have any pointers?

Hey mate thanks for the pointers again, put my stedi plug in today and just for future installs if you take out the two bolts that hold the bonnet lever in and one from behind the fuse cover panel the whole bottom part of the dash comes away and let’s you easily get to all the plug ports. Just a flat screw driver and they pop right out.

To answer your question i was able to connect to the trigger wire behind battery without removing, this did take a few goes and I took off a bit of bark on my hand... I mounted mine to the factory rail and they are nice and ridged. When are you wrapping that dash? I wrapped mine at 200km transformed the car.
