This was great! I just started with steel maces after a shoulder injury in a car accident and I can feel the shoulders getting stronger in all of my strongman pressing lifts.
Thanks great informative video. I'm still learning the fluidity of motion. I know you are very strong and your emphasis on the fundamentals illustrates the importance to long-term development.
I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery and just completed physical therapy. I wanted continue getting more mobility and strength. Should I start with 10 or 15lb steel club?
I have a ebook on clubs: coachvaughn.net/programs/gada-club-guide-for-indian-steel-club-strength-training I don't plan on making another paperback book on Amazon. They really screwed me by raising costs with paper, printing, and ink costs...barely make $5 per sale. It's a complete ripoff to publish on there now.
It screws up your elbow ligament and tendons with the extra load going in that direction. Your shoulders and elbows turn more into a ball joint with clubs - it’s why you see baseball & golf clubs swung in one direction. However you see someone with a tennis racket (like a Indian club) - they can swing it in many directions because it’s lighter.
