You can find alot of quality wooden Indian clubs on Etsy.com. That’s where I got mine in this video. Its been hard for me to find a quality brand I can promote here the US that’s at affordable cost. Its either cheap polyearthane Indian Clubs from Amazon (they still do the job), or high quality wooden on Etsy from real people who take the craft seriously.
I have no Indian Clubs, but a pair of 2kg/4,4lbs steel clubs. I tried this exercises and the older metronome skill trainings/workouts with those - "nice"!
One, great video, I'm going to have to try doing this to check my form. Two, sick Testament shirt, I'll be listening to them on my next work out now after watching this video 🤘
So stoked to see you are back! Looking jacked and shredded, Coach! Wishing you all the best and thank you for all the educational content you do, your impact and inspiration on others are greater than you may realize!
Part 2 please. My shoulder was hurting from doing mace and club work. Realized it was because my tricep on that side was really tight, I pointing my elbow to the sky enough. I was essentially "cutting the corner" as you said in your recent video. More stretching and myafashia release has helped. Also just got your book "enter the steel mace" in the mail this past week. Planning to go though it here soon
I'm an absolute beginner, aged 65. I have over the past few months, I've picked up my 1lb club and gone through the motions. But I still can't grasp the nomenclature behind the moves. How about a video that addresses this, along with when you swivel the wrists, elbows and shoulders. I find the green hatched lines, tracing the path of the club, is helpful. I find you're videos extremely helpful.
Glad my videos can help. On the joint movement, I just recently uploaded a updated version of my Beginner Indian Club routine here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lxdRdd7PHyA.html
I like going the other way because it feels like I'm doing a block and then swinging around for a stroke. I've probably watched too many movies about ancient combat. A medieval approach but it works for me. Agree that you should do what feels better. Either way works.
Great video with fantastic explanation! 👊💪👍 Coach Vaughn, do you have a follow a long video workout program for clubbells and kettlebell (warmup, workouts, shedule etc) that I can buy?
@@CoachVikingVaughn Thank you for the reply, appreciate it. Got some questions: 1. Can you recommend that I combine the Gada Swing and the Gada Club program? 2. How long approximately is a workout? 3. Do the ebooks contain ready workout shedule to follow for the week?
@@andersforsberg5216 I wouldn't recommended combining the two because learning all the tools at the same time would be alot. But if wanted to do GADA Swing and warm up with the Indian Club routine from GADA Club. But yes, the ebooks have everything set from tutorials, demo, and and full workout plan from beginner to advanced at a safe pace.
@@CoachVikingVaughn Thanks, good advice! Is it a good idea to buy to bundle with the swing and club so I maybe can combine them in the future when I got more experience? Do you recommend to start with the swing program (and indian club routine as warmup)? Thanks again!
Hey thanks for your great videos! I'm a chiropractor and I always reccomend my clients the Indian clubs for shoulder work and refer them to your channel for teaching!
Excellent video! Question(s): What weight do you recommend for a beginner, and do you recommend a particular material to begin with such as wood, plastic coating, pure steel? Thanks in advance!
Thanks, obviously a fan of wooden Indian Clubs. Aerodynamically, I think they swing better than plastic (and steel is too dense). 2LB is the minimum I would recommend for a beginner.
