Steel fork dropout adjustment 

This is a great video. I have one steel fork dropout that is slightly bowed outward at one dropout hook . The wrench and rag bends it back into alignment. In my case the bike came bowed at the dropout. The fork itself is already nice and straight. Nice job, your video has yet to be duplicated on youtube after 10 years.

Thank you for the video. I just got a cruiser bike today in the mail. One of the dropouts was bent. I contacted the seller to return it. Looks like I will be able to fix it and ride it tomorrow.

Thanks for the nice instructions. Bent one of my fork dropouts in a fit of reckless pounding down a crown race. Gingerly nudged back. Steel is real....malleable.

Thanks for the reassurance that if I manually apply force to get my electric wheel into the virtually but not quite perfect width dropouts Im not going to break the forks/dropouts : )

Shouldn't you be spreading those forks in your final adjustment evenly? What if you bend one more than the other, won't it give a buckled wheel effect?

If anyone responds thank you..I have horizontal rear dropouts and back wheel with free hub.so the back needs to be opened more how would I do that

What if the dropouts are bent outwards? so made wider than the axle that needs to be put between it? How do I best fix that?

is it safe to shave 1mm inside of a dropout to fit a electric wheel hub ? ( it is a cheap shit £100 bike im installing it on ) concenred the torque of the motor will snap the fork i dunno haha
