There's a difference between Metal and Heavy Metal. Metallica is Heavy Metal, Motley crue is Metal. They both use distorted electric guitars, both Metal. Rock did not distort their guitars very much, and used other instruments.
These guys are classic. You've got to accept them for what they are, if not that's cool, just go somewhere else. Tell you what, they're killer musicians. Lexi walks the dog w/ that base and I'd put Satchel up against any rock guitarist. Tiger Woods would be a classic if they'd written it as a legit song w/ legit lyrics.

No, we are NOT agreeing. You said that Metallica is "heavy metal", and that Mötley is "metal". Thats just wrong. Metallica is Thrash Metal, Mötley is Heavy Metal. Generalizing and just going by the fact that both are "metal bands" is stupid.. because then you can say that Black Sabbath and Dimmu Borgir plays the same style of music.
