I wouldn’t call myself an expert on this but you could have too small a torch head. There’s a number size rating that you can google. I think that would get you more oxygen to blow that molten metal out and move quicker
Hello dexter , i know its a bit late , but i have a a huge question , for cutting 2inch think steel in a small space area what would your setup be , to make the fastest possible cut, it dosent have to be pretty , just the fastest way ,ohhh and lets say its a steel reinforced plat which you cant see the other side so you can only preheat the front
@@TheMoonlightCraftsman also moonlight , huge fan of your channel ,im 16 years old and im learning the craft , if you would like to also shine in on the question with all the experience you have ide apreciate it , thank you and keep up the good work
@@Lucio-rz1ie I’d say just give it a try. Just need right sized tip for the thickness and the acetylene bottle needs to be large enough for that size of tip since the rate at which the acetylene can be undissolved (max volume) is dependent on the size of the bottle so the little tiny bottles that like an HVAC guy would use won’t be big enough. Glad to hear someone your age is interested. Makes for a great hobby or career
Thank you so much moonlight , i didnt know that , and moonlight my last question is , for cutting 2 inch steel with size 2 cutting tip, what is the smallest acetlyene tank i could use to still make and eficient fast cut?
