The Steel Dive 1970 Willard is THE best value for a dive watch under $125. With a reliable NH35 movement, deep yellow dial, excellent lume, easy to read because of very good contrast between hands/indices and dial, awesome bezel (lumed), white/red tipped second hand, and excellent bracelet/clasp. I wasn't a fan of the Willard cushion case for a long time. It looked awkward. Having worn it, I agree it's amazingly comfortable (on my above avg wrist size). What's not to love? What do you think?

Love the video. I have two of them, black and blue. Best watch package under $200. I have it for a year and wear the black one, daily. Very comfortable and looks still new.

I've seen reviews on this, always concerned that it wasn't as good as the hype suggested. Seems like it is! It's a great watch for someone on a tight budget who wants a fully specced out diver and historical icon.

Agreed. I had a very high skepticism of Steel Dive as a brand...not so much anymore. Take care.

Hello! I have mine with black dial for about two years and it is most of the time on my wrist, working, riding my bike, no issues, mine is about twelve seconds slow per day, I have got it with an engineer bracelet....very nice video and new subscriber!... cheers!.

Great short video and I love the 'chainsaw test'. I agree by far the best value per dollar on the market. How can you go wrong at less than $70 (during a sale).

I wish the chapter ring had less of a slope followed by a bezel that was smaller also. It's a bit too big for my wrist so I'm wearing an SKX I built with a third party case.

From afar, I wasn’t a fan until I bought one….you’re 100% correct, it’s a great case! Shockingly comfortable.

I have the same but orange dial .. got it a month ago.. Looks and works great. A bit on the heavier side though. Premium materials for the price !.. A great bargain.

Agreed. I've wanted to get the orange dial version...just can't pull the trigger on duplicate watches. Is the orange more a burnt orange?

Yes, it might need to be more snug than other watches of a lighter weight. Plenty of micro adjust on that bracelet!!

I've been avoiding all the Willards; even from Seiko. Its that 20mm lug width that just doesn't do it for me. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and watches under 40mm dia and/or a 20mm lug width/band, just looks small on me. I did get a Seiko Turtle, which has a 22mm lug width. Love it.

@@Realidealgear right on. Me personally, I'd prefer a 22 with no taper. But if it had to taper it shouldn't be less than 20 at the clasp/buckle.

Excellent. Couldn't be more durable. I did switch out the bracelet with a Strap Co Super Engineer II style and love it. The factory bracelet is great and highly adjustable. strapsco.com/product/super-engineer-bracelet-2/
