Just bought this today. Worth every single dime. Great mic, apparently they use the same tech for the fighter jet pilot’s headset. So whatever the noise in the background you have, it won’t picked up on the mic. Great sound, amazing even! Sound stage is wide. Was considering this for a long time, but your review just sealed the deal :).

Just bought the Arctic 3 Black (Wired) and right now it’s working fantastic! The mic is very clear and great and the audio is pretty good at the moment.
facts, i was deciding between these, kraken x and corsaire hs 35. And these one definetley look like the best deal. I just ordered them, so i'm hoping for the best.
So I bought 2 of these last Christmas as gifts to some family, they use it on PS4 and they mostly play games like CoD and Fortnite. I’ve also used them as well so I’ve experienced them firsthand. They are extremely comfortable, I wear glasses too and have not had any issues. The mic is okay, gets the job done, although we have had issues with one not picking up sound despite being in close proximity to the mouth and yes the mute is off. Some days it works perfectly and picks up everything in the room, other days we have to literally breath into it. Zero issues with the other pair though. Sound is good but if you’re looking to hear footsteps then I wouldn’t recommend these. These are a great option for casual gaming and everyday use, but if you’re looking for something to give you that competitive edge then I would tell you to consider something else.
Mine just got delivered yesterday and they are honestly the comfiest headset I’ve ever worn and the headband design imo is soo much better than without the headband it’s just cooler
And u helped me soo much with this decision it was between the Arctis 3’s and the HyperX Cloud Stingers and tbh the only reason I picked Arctis was because of the design so thank you for that

How do you use it with consoles, do they come with USB dongles or do you plug the 3.5mm Aux into the controller, If the latter how does it sound compared to something like the Corsair HS60?

been using a hyper x headset lately i think the clouds i forget tho. they’ve been having a problem for a while where the audio would keep cutting out and u could fix it just by unplugging it and plugging it back in but today they wouldn’t fix so i think they’re pretty much gone. think i’m gonna go out and buy these thanks for the review man
I just got the Arctis 3 (Bluetooth) I was surprised to not see a review on those . I think these are the best option for the average Console Gamer . They are straight plug and play , sound great and through the Bluetooth you can listen to audio from your phone and receive phone calls while still getting game audio. The cons are no EQ adjustment , wish the volume could go slightly higher ,and I wish it had a game to chat mixer. I play COD much differently now that I can hear the direction of footsteps and gunfire , they're really good at that.
Just got the Arctis 3 and i absolutely love it. Most comfortable headset i ever had. And the sound is amazing. If your looking for a good headset for a good price, go for the Arctis 3. I promise you that you will not regret it.

Hey man, nice review again! Since my girlfriend has been using the Arctis 5 for almost almost a week now, I can say that she is REALLY happy with them. I am also. Sound is amazing, really clear, software is great as well. We adjusted the RGB to her preference and since I got her the white ones, these things are really beautiful as well. I know that the performance is the main thing here, but they are really gorgeous as well. Also, I have to say one more thing that all of the reviews seem to forget to mention or they just mention the feature but don't really explain anything in details about it. I am talking about the sound share 3.5mm jack. I am actually amazed by this option and I didn't even buy the headset for that option at all. First of all, when you plugin a seacond headset it doesn't loose any of it's sound quality, volume level or anything and you control the volume of the connected headset, with the volume control of the Arctis headset, so both play at the same level. Second, this is amazing for people who are watching a movie during the day, or late at night, or playing something on a laptop and want to have better sound and have both people engaged into whatever is going on. I don't know if you will loose some of the sound quality and volume level if you have the Arctis connected to a console and then another headset connected to the Arctis. But if you are playing some RPG game like God Of War and you are using a headset, you can have a headset connected to your Arctis for your buddy, girlfriend, wife, kid or whatever and you can both enjoy the sounds of the game and have both of you engaged. This is amazing also for games that require you to have a headset... like any shooter and if you have a buddy with you that is watching you, but can't hear anything really because you only are using a headset, just having them being able to listen to everything as well makes everything more fun and engaging. Also, for PC this is a much better option than using the microphone jack to play sound where the quality of the sound connected to that jack is really whack. Overal, I believe this option is very underlooked and should be pointed out with more details. PS: I am now jealous about my girlfriend having these, compared to mine Logitech G430... but at the same time, I am really happy with the purchase and that she enjoys them a lot as well.

What I found interesting is that I actually didn't find anyone speaking in detail about this function/option, while actually this is something that I am finding a lot of use of. As we are fans of horror games, she likes to watch me play them, imagine two people playing a good horror game late at night, both with headphones and good quality audio. Maybe it is just me, but people are underlooking this in my opition.

I would really love to get my hands on the Arctis Pro because of their audio capabilites. This 10Hz - 40kHz frequency response sure does seem amazing but their price tag is also amazing, at least for my standarts.

The best purchase I have made Thanks to your amazing review It's been 8 months since I have bought it and yes it's the most comfortable gaming headset I have owned sound is pretty loud and clear I use it on ps4 (I also had cloud 2 and astro for few years) and I still prefer arctis 3 over them
I bought these and they were perfect But then 2 days later, the mic started cutting in and out when I would talk so I had to return em I bough Astros and I hate em I’m gonna return em but idk what to buy next ? Should I get the Artis 3 again ?
@@ruehinn well its pretty good to be honest I've used it for a year and a half and it's still working but the earpads are worren out lol so I'm using my airpods now mostly (i don't do gaming as often now) But overall I'd give it a 8.5/10 I bought it for 95$ at that time Also the cable might get broken at some point it lasted me around 7-8 months But u can find USB - C to 3.5 jack wires pretty easily in any mobile shop for around 10$ I think Still very comfortable and one of the best headsets I have owned. If you're planning to buy it and its cheap then go for it, but I'm sure there are better models nowadays? I think u could get Arctis 5 or more for the same price or around 30$ more not sure.

I bought it and if you want it for xbox dont get it as the mic doesnt like to work alot on xbox. It just randomly starts and stops working and I havent found a fix for it I've check if the cables are connected properly and if it was my controllers but no success.
Dude is riffing in the intro like he's about to pull out a bass and play some fat lines from Primus. My understanding about the audio quality is that the sound derived through USB is virtualised and transmitted through it, which gives a cleaner sound than if you plugged it in via front panel 3.5mm. The audio channels for those apparently suffer from interference from chiplets near the front panel connectors on the motherboard. You're better off plugging directly into the rear of the PC.
Great tip about the red LED on the mic tip. I’m looking for a replacement for my old turtle beach X01 and am used to having the dock attached to the controller and can see right away if I’m muted or not. Something to consider before I buy. Subbed!
Just ordered the Arctis 3 hopefully they are as good a I think they’ll be Edit: I’ve been using the Arctis 3’s for a couple days now. It’s really comfortable, sounds great, and the microphone sound clear. The only complaint I have about this headset is that mic monitoring isn’t working well for me. I can only hear myself if I put the mic very close to my mouth to the point where it’s touching it.
same problem for the mic. i kinda have the impression that the mic is positioned IN the headset, like where my ears are and not on the flexible mic. I tried to speak in the mic, i couldn’t hear myself. So i tried to speak in the headset (where our ears are) and i could hear myself like that. idk what to think and what to do to fix that :(
@@jordanespana3863 ok so i looked in stores and then i bought astro a10s i loved then so on wensday i was like im gonna tell my dad if he can take me to bestbuy so i could buy a wired controller i use xbox btw i looked and they had none so i looked in the play station aisle for fun and I SAW IT so i went home got my reciete for my astro and returned it and got the arctis 3 and yesterday i got my wired controller for xbox at Walmart so it was like good luck
I want to ask something.My audio cable got broken and im trying to find a new one.But the thing that i want to ask is there is a 3.5mm audio cable enterance in the headset.Does that mean i can use two sided 3.5 mm audio cable? If you reply that would be awesome.

I bought the Arctis 3 for some weeks ago.. Considering the 30-40 euro price difference, I should have bought the Arctis 5 with illumination and 7.1 surround sound. Arctis 3 is good but I want the 5 soon :-P
This headset is actually crap, if you use your mic while listening to music or playing a game all the sound will leak into the mic due to bad design since the cable uses common ground for mic and speakers. Don't buy this if you regularly in voice chats while playing games.

Ma name Jeff Mic is good but not amazing, it’s not shitty by any means. The only thing I’ve been told is that I sound like I’m speaking too low but if I put the mic closer to my mouth no complaints!
I really do like these, they were some of the first good felling headset. But I must admit I am shard on stuff and get mad easily, but mine broke right on the swivels part, the plastic just snapped right in half. But still a very good product.
I have used the older model for a bit over 2 years now, and I think they're great, but... The EQ software worked perfectly until around October, when I needed to restart the software to change the sound settings, and in November I completely lost the ability to change the settings.
