these reviews are unbelievably helpful and I appreciate how much effort you put into these videos and how much detail is included. No yelling, no flashy obnoxious elements, just a mature and detailed and straightforward review. Keep doing what you’re doing my man 👍🏼
Without a doubt the best review AND reviewer I've seen after watching a ton of different RU-vidrs review different headsets, monitors and computer components the last 10 days. It's obvious you've taken the time to make the best and most helpful of a review you can. And thanks for being yourself and not this fake amped up, ADHD styled RU-vidr that seems to be aiming towards a much younger audience. Keep doing this. I just wanted to show my appreciation.
@@GadgetryTechhello. I’ve a Ps5 but I can’t find the PlayStation version. In my location I’ve only found the black one so far which I believe it’s for PC. Will this work well on the Ps5? If I tune the EQ on PC will it also work on the Ps5? Thank you
@@GadgetryTech I just bought the 7p for PS5 tonight to try but I was really looking at the Audeze Maxwells. How would you compare the 2? Is the extra $120 worth it for the Audeze?
Get this man a sponsor!!! This was a great deep dive into these headphones. I have been waiting on the 7 variant to come out since the pros were released. They seem to be everything I want without the price tag of the pros. I was pretty sold on the now regular arctis 7+ and I just hadn't shot on purchasing it, but I'm glad your saying this is better than it in every way, and has simultaneous Bluetooth connection! This was the first video of yours I've watched and I really appreciate how in depth you went reviewing this product.
@@vinprice been loving it so far! The battery life is amazing! The sound is super clear! You can literally hear where someone is walking. At first I felt like the volume was too low but in the app you can turn off volume limiter and then it goes really loud. Bass is really clear as well! Also it's very comfortable (12+ hours of continuous use and no pain/stress on my head)..it's very lightweight yet durable.
@@DevilsMenace same here, bought it a week ago. Brilliant headset. Apparently the leatherette ears buds lock in the sound even more, especially the bass. Just ordered some from Steale series.
Dude you're a legend! This review was spectacular. Clearly thought-out, well articulated, and honest. I've been watching a lot of reviews on these and none of those reviewers even mention the plastic swivel connections or took it apart to look even. Thank you for spending your money and time doing this. Clearly you put a lot of work in and I greatly appreciate it. I subbed and turned on notifications, I look forward to seeing more great reviews! 🙌
Was looking for a review of these headphones since they just came out and found your channel. Love how in-depth you go into your reviews and you seem to be extremely knowledgeable on audio based on your channel. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks for the great review, and for sharing the frequency response and settings. I started from the engine settings in 27:01, and spent a few hours tuning the headset. Here is the equalizer setup that sounded good to my ears: [32:0.5, 64:1.5, 125:0.5, 250:0, 500:-1, 1k:-2.5, 2k:-1.5, 4k:3, 8k:-1.5, 16k:-2.5]. I hope someone finds it useful. I increased the bass a little (32 to 125Hz arch shape), reduced the "shouty" vocals (500 to 2KHz downward arch), 4KHz at 3 is necessary as the review shows, reduced the treble (8KHz and 16KHz) as I thought it was high. Now my favorite rock star Bon Jovi songs sound great on this headset, as well as some other genres that I tested. Also, I use the same Nova 7X in the video with my PS5 and I can confirm that 3D sound and the equalizer settings work perfectly. Just a reminder to put the little switch on the dongle to "USB" when using with PC or PS5.
@@idrcookiez620 In my case for PS5, yes, the equalizer settings that I saved into the headset with GG engine were carried over when I used it on PS5. I confirmed this by trying different GG settings and noticed the difference in sound on PS5. I’m not sure though if the settings are saved on the dongle or the headset itself, but this is less relevant in this case and may be relevant with Bluetooth.
Incredible review!! Best Audio reviewer I've seen on RU-vid, hands down. Also, I was torn between the Nova 7 and the Nova Pro. I went with the 7 due to the cost. For anyone unsure between the two headsets, the Nova 7 is an amazing value and I'm very happy with it.
For anyone buying: I was able to tune the bluetooth EQ using the regular, non-sonar settings shown at 26:45 (7, not sure about 7X). Also thanks for the audio settings and analysis!
Are you also able to change the mic sound with gg engine so it doesn't sound as muffle as the default? I know sonar can but the ps5 can't use sonar settings.
Ditto, would love an update on this as well - just got my pair! Set the mic EQ to match settings however it includes bandwidth now, have no clue what to set each to.
You're genuinely the best reviewer ive ever seen on youtube. Wanted a new headset and was looking at options and i found this legend. This review goes so in depth and gives amazing tuning for how to fix the audio/mic. Its clear you put so much time and effort into this video and this is easily the best review for this headsrt. You've earned a new sub. Keep doing what you're doing man, i loved this review.
This review has A LOT of details, definitely way more than I need myself so I appreciate the effort and the meticilous work you put in this video. Even without sponsorship. This is a great channel. Thank you.
Another excellent review. I was all ready to purchase the Nova Pros until I saw your review and found out they only have the single volume slider, really don't understand that decision. Glad to see that has been addressed here.
Thanks so much for the Super Thanks Manky! I meant to drop a comment before but RU-vid makes it hard to find these unless I'm manually searching for them! The 7X seems to be the best value for console from SteelSeries right now.
So if i install steelseries software, and adjust the Mic tuning, and plug it into a xbox or another computer that doesnt have steelseries software installed. My microphone and audio will still have the same settings??? Or will it be default settings? I ask because i use a work laptop i cant install things onto. I like the dongle so i can make it more mobile than my arctis pro wireless basestation. but i hate the audio and mic of this headset...
Btw I just got mine but there is alot of noise floor. If you turn the volume all the way up it's got that static/ white noise if nothing is playing. It can't be heard unless you have the volume maxed out
Sorry for those who tried watching this morning! There was a rendering issue that only occurred on RU-vid but I found a fix and this video is now good to go! Thanks as always for the support!
@@ruezf honestly I’m not sure if I can. I have to buy all of these headsets and often need to choose which to purchase and which not to. If things change down the road I will certainly pick up a pair.
I was skeptical about two things: - Steelseries itself (always seemed to me like a g4m3r brand without much substance) - Wireless headphones Bought the Nova 7 and my jaw just dropped with the freaking quality they have (coming from a Logitech G PRO X headset), can't recommend them enough. Work like a breeze, quality is very good and the software is top notch.
The literal best review I've seen on these headphones so far. I found it kind of odd you actually boosted the microphone's 4KHz+ range. I personally actually basically CUT those frequencies off and it sounded a lot flatter and less piercing but hey it doesn't sound that bad either way. Other than that though everything was phenominal. I also loved how you threw in at the end there the mention of how you can use bluetooth in between matches (if you have adhd) to side track yourself and go on youtube or listen to music, that's something I miss going from wireless headphones to my Nova Pro wired's buuuut hey maybe I should take advantage of the line in port more often then lol. Can't wait to see what your next video will be :o
I just got nova 7 and unboxed them. Immediately came to watch this again and adjusted the audio profiles as you've done. I love it! There are a alot of premade configurations. I tried many of them but i recommend using these settings showed here on the video. Microfone sounds awesome!
Did you copy the tune for both game and media? My media tune isnt sounding that great so I am wondering if the tune he made will work for media as well
man u are a legend i could not figure out why my headset sounded so punchy and shouty you fixed it, when playing I could not hear the enemy footsteps only my gun fire or theirs but u fixed it. after 15 other videos you have a scientific approach that works rather than just i like mine this way. Thank you
Just upgraded from the arctis 7p and my only complaint for these was the clamp force but I took your advice and moved the headband down to the lowest setting and it fixed my problem. Prolly the best headset review I've ever seen and I definitely recommend this channel and this headset 👍🏽
@@BlazedReefer yes I think the novas are definitely better. Better battery life, more adjustability, better mic (that also goes completely flush with the headset when you retract it), slightly better audio quality, and the simultaneous Bluetooth is a game changer for me personally. And they're a pretty fair price. I got mine on sale on Amazon
I got an xbox one that I basically never use and only play ps5 now but I still ordered the nova 7x just in case I ever wanna play xbox again. The green head strap doesn’t fit at all so I‘m gonna order a black one separately. I‘d love a white strip and white ear cups tho so it would match my psvr2 but sadly I can’t find any for the nova 7 :( Amazing video tho, well done! Can’t wait to use your settings. 👍🏼
What a great in depth review! The manufactures have to step up their aircup design at some point to get rid of those resonances. I'd expect that at 200 dollar pricepoint.
You have the volume limiter on, or did you turn it off and it's still not loud enough? Actually 28:00 i see the DB for the Nova 7's are at a max of 85 dB... the volume limiter limits the headset to 85dB. th headset has a sensitivity of 93 db according to steelseries, while the 7x is a bit louder at would be 98 dB
you really covered EVERY question I had. Which is really rare for reviews to me. Thanks for the indepth. And thanks for chaptering it. I was able to skip through the parts I already knew. Big Thumbs up and you definitely deserve more than 30k subs you have rn. I subscribed even tho I probably won't need a review soon. Really well done.
My wife bought me this for my bday. It was 5x WORSE than my 2016 razer kraken. It was the worst sounding headsets my ears ever touched. I play mainly on PC [Valorant/Csgo]. Returned it IMMEDIATELY after trying to fix it in the app with EQ with no good results. If you ask me: DO NOT buy these.
Hey, own a Nova 7 and just two minor points, both regarding settings in the GG engine app. - The Nova 7 allows you to reduce the game volume during a bluetooth call. The options is completely muting it, lower game volume by 12db, or mute game audio entirely. - Also do notice the Nova 7 is relatively quiet, there is a volume limiter setting that might be on by default. Overall though, I think the most indepth review I've seen for the Nova's. EDIT: Also want to add on that I find the pads are fairly thin and the tips of my ears press against the driver wall and it leads to discomfort.
Is there a way fir the gg engine to adjust the tone of your voice in the mic so it doesn't sound as muffle as the default? Sonar does but sonar doesn't carry over to ps5
@@zeohblitz There is a way of saving an eq profile to the headset for use of consoles I believe, but it does not include a method of increasing gain at the moment.
i got the nova 7p and some sound's are sharp Especially voices ( vocals ) like its stabing my ears i use it on ps5 ther is no sonar option for it can you adjust it using eq only if not possible can you recommend headset for ps5 that less sharp sound and thank you .
Great Video! Guys my Tb Stealth 700 gen2 just broke in half.. I am not sure if this Headset would be a good new Upgrade or Downgrade for 140€… Can someone maybe give me a tip?
Great review! Love it! Thanks for helping to creating the tuning part! If u use Sonar you can add more dots by just clicking on the line. So u can add more freq with adding or minnus db's
i've been confused about that too! I also keep running into review saying that sonar is a mess and to avoid it...and others saying how amazing it is. So frustrating, I'm almost afraid to download the software and adjust my headphones AT ALL
I have weirds plastic creaks or cracks on my Arctis 7+ when moving my head and such, around the earcups axles. Maybe I got a bad model, SteelSeries wouldn’t replace it anyway, so maybe upgrading to this Nova 7 would fix that, along with gaining Bluetooth connection. Anyway, terrific review, very in-depth and professional, thank you, you earned a subscriber!
Just got this HS before watching your review, and watched several other before purchasing. Your review was by far the best, in depth, well rounded and including new stuff others did not mention. Give your recap a #1 on the web right now! Great stuff, keep it up! I will hit back here later to re-watch parts about the tuning. One of the reasons I got this was for the improvement in microphone, as im using a cloud flight right now and the mic is, well, trash :) Thank you for a great recap, have a great day!
Have now gotten the headset and tuned my mic. Would you recommend to get the program you used to tune the sound quality on top of using sonar? Any thoughts? I am new to this so any response would be much appreciated.
@@michaelserapio2340 I have a pretty silence keyboard. Asked yesterday and they don't hear my keys and they said the mic is way better than my old hyperx hs. If I sneezy the mic will also cut the sound, which is pretty neat.
Great review, just one quick comment re the overall volume of these - I noticed in your tuning setups in the gg app you had the “max volume” option enabled - think this might be why you don’t find them loud enough
I don't usually comment on youtube videos but I think that yours deserved one. Your video and explanations were very clear and thorough, and you addressed a lot of key points that most channels do not. Certainly helped on my future purchase, thanks!
Just decided to buy this thanks to you. Your reviews are so damn good man, so specific and scientific. I loved that you recommend tunes for it, this is like the perfect review and you are the max review. Congrats and new sub, hope your channel grow all the way up to the stars
@@JuztBillz Now i have like a month with 'em. I like everything, the audio is enough for the price, not the best of the market. If you want better audio then use cable or spend more money. This video explains every good and bad point of them. Theres one detail though, when you are on a bluetooth call you can't use the mic at PC and your Cellphone at the same time.
Been using them for a few days and I love them so far. It's a great headset that works on all platforms, Which is exactly what I've been looking for. I love how comfortable it is, I almost forget that I'm wearing them most of the time because of how light they are. Fantastic review.
I have 2 questions: Do I use the same sound/mic profiles for the options "chat" and "media" as well? And what about all the Sound devices which appeared in my sound device list shortcut, do i need them there or can i deactivate everything except for Nova 7 Headset, and Sonar will still work? Right now there are 5 devices for the headset, 4 different Sonar options and 1x the whole headset as itself
Thanks for the review, just received my pair today and immediately referenced this video to tune the mic. Sounds so much better than with out of the box settings.
The headset does get louder…like stupid loud, if you go to gg engine and disable the volume limiter (compression) I’m assuming, the sharpness goes up and it almost made me cringe until I lowered it in sonar…I’m about to try your settings now in sonar for COD on my series s I’ll let you know how it does …thanks for the review
Great video man really appreciate the time you put in. I ordered these last night I mostly play battlefield so hope they work good. I had the nova pro but they were uncomfortable and had to have the mic at lvl 5 not not have feedback in the party. Hopefully the mic isn't as bad on these and if so it's easier to swallow at 180 vs 350 bucks lol.
@@michaelserapio2340 the mic isn't very good on Amy kf the nova sets for console anyway. If your on PC and use sonar you can make it sound pretty good.
I installed the GG app to tune it once and keep using the headset on xbox. Do the changes made in Sonar/Engine save right into the headset or do I need the app?
10/10 review. The measurement and tuning section of your video is unparalleled. Keep the hard work up! It makes me wonder what the Nova pro wireless and Audeze Penrose tuning is. I was able to purchase the Penrose from Adorama for 180 open box. However after watching this the sonar software Makes me want to buy steel series. However I just can’t get over the 40mm drivers they still use. I feel like they need to expand their headsets to 50mm for more control overall from their drivers. I bought the steel series Arctis pro back in January, but I felt like the 40mm drivers really affected the sound stage, and the imaging felt so off. Only thing I can describe it as is the shouting like you were saying around minute 22. Anyway it made everything sound like it was 50 feet away, even though the sound came from someone or something in the room next to me. Needless to say, I returned them, watched your review on the Penrose, and I haven’t looked at steel series since.
Thank you, I really love your reviews! If you made a Patreon or allowed a paid subscription on RU-vid I would definitely would support you as unfortunately living in Europe I can't use your links for purchases. I am thinking of getting a new headset for my Series X and can't decide between the Nova 7x, Nova Pro Wireless, Turtle Beach 700 Gen2Max, Lucidsound LS50x (only cost 180-200 here). I use dolby atmos and I also like to use spacial sound in single player games and movies. Which would you recommend? :O
Hi Gery, so sorry for taking so long to respond! This video got so many comments early on that I missed a bunch. Thank you so much for the super comment and the kind words! I'll eventually looking into pay tiers but I'm trying to focus purely on making this channel about the content and not to maximize profits. Perhaps sometime soon! Regarding your question about the headset... The Nova Pro Wireless is the best out of all of them, but it should be, considering the price. The Nova 7X and 700 Gen 2 Max are better values, and I like that both of them have a dedicated wheel for game to chat mix. The 700 Gen 2 Max has a much stronger clamp force which can be an issue for some, but I find the sound profile more pleasant to listen to (especially on the Vocal preset). The 700s have amazing bass control and presence down low, which can make some games much more immersive. I found the 7X to be the most comfortable of any model listed above, and the sound is still nice, it's just different. The Nova 7X has some hyper-focused treble tuning that in some cases comes across as bright sounding. The Nova 7X is slightly better for footstep awareness due to having amazing imaging performance, but the deeper bass is lacking a bit. The LS50X was amazing a year ago, but too many recent headsets tend to beat it in raw performance and value. I hope I didn't make this a more difficult decision for you! My goal is to help you decide what is best for you, and not me assume which is best. Thanks again for the support!
@@GadgetryTech Thank you for the detailed answer, you did help me out! I also rewatched all your reviews again, and decided I will be ordering the Nova Pro Wireless :) (actually just did) I wish you the best, can't wait to see your next video ;)
Hey man, great review as always, I had an Xbox Wireless Headset for over a year - decided to upgrade to Stealth 700 Gen 2, but it constantly disconnects and shuts off for me, so I've decided to order this headset yesterday after your review, really looking forward to it. I really like the Stealth's sound features compared to the Xbox headset, but the constant drop-offs make it unusable for me, unfortunately. Hope this headset will be a worthy buy for me. PS. At 29:50 you mention that you wish the headset could get louder, and at 27:00 there's a "Volume Limiter" option turned ON for you. Have you tried turning it off and checking after that?
I can confirm that turning the volume limiter off definitely increases the overall volume. I was using them at about 90% volume and.after turning it off I'm at maybe 60% .
@@GadgetryTech UPD: Mine finally came! I can say this is the best gaming headset out of all I had (Xbox Wireless Headset, Stealth 700 Gen 2). Super comfortable and almost non-existent on the head (Xbox headset is also very comfy, Stealth 700 is just too big and not very comfy for me despite the cooling gel stuff), pairs beautifully with every device possible, and the sound... Man, I thought the Stealth 700 G.2 sound was amazing (and it still very much is), but Nova I feel has a much better soundscape and I just configured it much faster to my liking, then the Stealth 700. Actually, I used the EQ you provided in the video for the Engine, but I've amped the bass a little bit, instead of decreasing it. Sounds amazing to me, thanks again for the in-depth review.
@gadgetrytech this review is exactly what we were looking for!!! What is the recommended DAX EQ settings should be for the nova 7 with wicked freeze cushions? Apologies if you posted somewhere already
Fantastic review, just the level of in-depth stuff I was looking for and your presentation style is really chill! I'm currently using the Corsair Virtuoso XT since at the time they were the only 2.4 + BT headset with USB-C charging,. but they've proven to be a bit too heavy/uncomfortable, and their dongle seems to cause interference with the PS4 controller. Looks like I may trade them for these Nova 7X and see if they work better for my setup
Bought the 7x based on this review. Happy to say after a week of good usage on console/Bluetooth, playing games and listening to music, I'm extremely pleased with this headset 10/10. Thanks for the great review. Pointed me in the right direction.
@@gurjar1117 I switched the sound limiter off (on Steele GG app) as soon I bought it, so the volumes is fine. I fine tuned the EQ on my laptop whilst listening to my android phone using the Bluetooth. Got it perfect.
@@darkscoutergamer6168 I actually went back and set the EQ to the recommendations on the vid. My own preset was hitting the high to much. The EQ here is a perfect balance.
4:20 Nooo wayyy?!?! 6:20 1 pause, 2 forward, 3 back no bluetooth with aux ^ Also can't tune in bluetooth mode, only in USB 18:22 I need to learn what the heck driver matchin gis and what frequency response is too lol 23:30 HOLY HELL I did not know you could do this kinda stuff, I guess I thought you needed to like assembly code or something, guess I could do that stuff for fun on an older or easier to edit headset without using the software for fun but this is great. That room eq wizard is really useful for readings, wonder how it gets those. Also I think it was mentioned that you can take audio tuning on onboard memory to console but not mic tuning? I will need to double check that. I need to just watch the whole video again and take notes.
I still love my Stealth 700 gen 2, I use em for nearly two years now. If they break, I'll may consider the Nova 7X! Thanks for another banger review Joe💜I hope we can use the sonar tuning on console at some point, so you can save the EQ for sound & mic. It's possible, razer can do it on xbox itself with the kaira pro.
Just got mine at target for $49.99 on clearance, I only got them cause they were hella discounted and didn't mind adding another headset to my collection
This is a fantastic review. You’re the only one I found that picked up on the ‘shouty’ sound from these headphones and you’re absolutely right. I couldn’t get over it, even with your EQ settings (which helped) and had to send the headphones back. I love how feature rich these are, but the sound comes first.
i got these and the Epos h3pro hybrids to try out and current testing both. the novas are super light and comfy and also very breathable so the ears dont get hot. I need to test the mic to see if its better than the epos because the epos one seems pretty subpar. audio quality definitely goes to the epos. both headphones are comfortable in their own way. the epos have smaller ear cups so they take an extra second to put on and get in the right position, but once on they are snug and form a great seal. novas are easier to just slide on and the headband thing sort of auto adjusts them on your head to fit right. im going to test a bit more but i think i might lean more towards the epos. i really do like the novas comfort wise and i like the Steelseries GG software much better, but audio quality seems a lot better on the epos.
I have the 7p model and so far they are great. I'll try out your EQ since the one in using right now feels just OK. You mentioned in your video that you wish the Nova 7s were louder. I noticed in your steel series gg engine EQ you had the volume limiter enabled. Did you try disabling that? When I disabled that the headset was so loud I ended up re-enabling it. Also, if you get the 7x or 7p but prefer the black headband, then you can just flip it. Still see a green/blue accent but not as bad as before
Didn't know you could flip the headband! Idk why but the 7P's headband was a bit off-putting for me... even if the headset is on your head when you use it. Now I'll defo buy it knowing that lol
Appreciate how much effort you've put into this video (and the others). I went on a research journey, trying to replace my current headset (a decade old HyperX Revolver S- they didn't die or anything, just felt like updating my set up) and I think I watched most of your Gaming Audio playlist. I was able to finally make a decision against the Nova Pro's in favour of these, will be using your helpful tuning tips once they arrive. Just the two points about the chat-mix and these specific ear pads simply won me over. I usually go to RTINGS for my purchase decisions but I found your videos to be more detailed imho; much needed departure from the mostly sponsored and quick cuts content out on YT. It really feels like an actual consumer/gamer is reviewing these (the Warzone chopper ride vs gulag audio adjustments have always been annoying yeah). Will recommend my friends to check out your channel for their future purchase as well. Cheers!
Great in depth review! I have one issue, that the microphone doesn't work when recording a voice msg on whatsapp on the phone through bluetooth. It only works when on a call. Another thing is when connected through wifi on the pc (on discord) and on phone on a call, the microphone works only on the phone, the mic stops working on the pc until the call is ended. In the video you said the mic works simultaneously, is that an issue that i have or did they change it or does anyone else face the same issue ?
Really appreciate you taking the time to fine tune this headset. I primarily play warzone so will be using these settings for warzone 2. Do you think these settings will sound okay for watching films via smarth tv? I play on Xbox and it's a lot of effort to have to connect to my laptop anytime I want to change eq presets
Hi Joe! Can I ask for gaming wise, tracing footsteps and imaging, is the Nova 7 as good as the Nova Pro? Say the Pro is a 10, Nova 7 is an 8? Just a bit bumped the Nova Pro comes with leather earcups, too hot for me, price is quite a premium over the 7 as well :( Thanks!
They are close! The Nova Pros have better drivers and slightly better resolution as a result. Resolution meaning they play subtle noises slightly better. You are definitely right in assuming the Nova 7 is closer to an 8 (maybe a 7.5), if you are saying the Nova Pro is a 10.
I have an OG Arctis (2017 model) and I was wondering about the loudness of these new models. Mine I feel already doesn't go as loud as it should, but I find it ok... But I'm afraid these Nova models are even less loud. Anyone can tell me if that's the case?
Between the Nova 7 and the Corsair Virtuoso XT which one would you pick if you needed something to play mostly RPGs on PC and Xbox while speaking on Discord?
I tried the Nova Pro Wireless and send it back for 2 reasons: 1- the bump of the mic was touching my ears and really incomfortable 2- I really find Sonar has a lot of things to iron in order to be enabled. I really dislike to see my physical AND virtual devices when trying to switch from headset to speakers (which I do quite a lot) This one could do it but it still requires the use of Sonar, so I may stick with my Arctis 5 for quite more time. I was looking to know if it could be used while charging, thanks for the information (I really don't understand why Steelseries does not say this on their website)
The mic is extremely quiet on my PC. It sounds just fine on my xbox though. Is there any fix to this?? Yes my mic volume is at 100% and the level is maxed in control panel
Nice review. How do you adjust the mic with gg engine so your voice doesn't sound nasal or muffled? Since the ps5 doesn't accept sonar, is there a way to use gg engine to do that?
Thanks, great Review. I'm pretty much sold on this headset. Only one question in case someone can answer. Why did GT reccomend getting the Xbox version over the other versions? I use PC mostly but would consider getting a console later. What do you lose by purchasing the PC version rather than the Xbox version? Again, fantastic review!
I was actually a bit dissapointed by the quietness of this headset today I wanted to refund it. Your Sonar config is awesome but the thing really helped me to feel more "boomy" while listening music was to disable "Volume Limiter" on GG software.
Why is there a controversy on the sonar eq settings saving to the headset to use on the Xbox? I hear so many people saying they don’t save to the headset and you need to be on the pc for it to work. And there’s there’s people saying it saves. Can you confirm? Did you test this?
Nothing in sonar applies to console. They are all virtual sound settings that only affect the PC it on. Even on a different PC, you will still have different settings. Only what you can save to the headset itself via the GG engine works
You're the first person I've seen that has shown the EQ for the microphone. I didn't even know you could do that. The mic sounds soooo much better with those EQ settings
I like how very descriptive you were specifically in a short amount of time when the headset barely came out. Most people will try to get their reviews out there first and rust it and do a 2 month review or be biased based on a feature they love but don't consider the faults like the razer karia headset is good headset but forgot to mention how light it is and can fall off your hears easily or connections can be unstable. I hope you grow more and more with your content and help us see more valuable the headset is from its price point.
Hello, I love your reviews and they are so informative and detailed!! I know you talk a lot about SONOS, but I am interested in these for my PS5. Could you tell me or do a video on your EQ settings just in the SS software that you would recommend, as I know SONOS isn’t compatible for the PS5. Thanks for your vids 👍🏻
I will have some insight on this in the next week or two tops. It takes a lot of measuring and analysis, like hours of measuring and tuning to get to a point where I'm happy. It's coming very soon though!
great review! I was undecided between several headsets within this price range and this video was the final nudge I needed, so I got myself one of those. Thank you!
