yes typically a squat bar is 25kg/55lbs because it is thicker than a normal power bar allowing less bend in the bar. More of a safety thing than anyything for weights over 700
@PowerLifter I know, almost all collars in competition weigh 2.5kg. But that would mean 2x2.5 +8×25=205kg. So that means a 25kg bar to get 230kg total.
Lifting that much is definitely impressive, huge congrats. But don’t you think with her height, it’s easier to put weight on her lifts since she has a smaller bar path?
Jin Well she's not really 123lbs, she has to water cut to that weight class. She does this to try and get a better wilk score. She does the super wide grip bench with the exaggerated arch and sumo deadlifts on a deadlift bar so it ain't really that impressive.
smaller bar path but also keep in mind her bones are smaller so less ability to put on muscle. the guys deadlifting over 1000 lbs(455ish kg) are like 6ft3 is the shortest I know being eddie hall. because that bigger frame can put more muscle on it so it's easier short term to lift more but long term she'll never deadlift 1000lbs just because her bar path is shorter
@@TheDave000 im a 100kg lifter and im the same ball park in numbers as stefi besides my bench and i feel like a little bitch every time i watch her lift. I dont know of very many males in the 56kg weight class that can lift like her
@@Mcg0rk I see your point. But then again, I think it's better for there to be tested and untested feds. Because then untested athletes CANT claim that their lifts are natural, and they honestly don't care about how they compare with natural records, and so we shouldn't care either.
@@pectenmaximus231 I get what you mean. It's just a shame (according to me) that we devide this sport between groups that do drugs and don't. All this, to an expense of the non-drug users achivements and view in the public opinion. I mean, should all sports have a drugg and non-drugg organization? Or why do we allow that just in powerlifting?
@@Mcg0rk I just dont think theres any escaping it. Obviously if we only have tested feds then they'll have *even more* people essentially cheating. Athletes who want to lift the maximum possible weight cant ignore that the way to do that is with drugs. Best for them to just say, yeah I did drugs, and move on from it. Its actually more open-and-shut than people who are tested or claim natural and then theres so much skepticism. Saying it again, if there was no taboo and lifters were totally separated and open, then truly natural feds would be even playing fields in themselves, and steroid feds even internally too.
@@Exekutioncro INSULTING? steroids give you strength you never had and success you dont deserve. shes about to lift 5x her bw by drinking almond milk and ground beef? i think you dont understand how steroids work buddy, no disrespect but thats just reality, apparently you didnt get the memo. no hating and idont have doubts about what i lift
Emilios Powerballer o wow, look another fool who thinks you don’t need to work hard if you’re on steroids. They actually literally work HARDER because their body’s are able to lol. Don’t hate because you’ll never come close to her even as a man
@@trif0ld Tre Adams hahahaha. She's the daughter of Ed Cohen if you think she's Natty your dumb af. She benches 250 for a max and wrap squats 520, and her sumo is sub 550. None of those Numbers are impressive until you factor in her weight. Then when you realize she's on a cocktail of Tren, D8 and TBooster It instantly becomes unimpressive again. No point in me arguing who's stronger lol any keyboard warrior can say they benched 700lbs... you know... in HS.
I have a lot of respect for her but the the rules or norms for the competition suck. It should not be about lowering the ranges of motion to lift the most weight but using all your muscles and other appropriate mechanics associated with the movement to efficiently lift the most weight. This is one of the reasons why some olympic weightlifters can't take us serious.
