I think it was the way he was being booked. He could cut promos like no other and wrestled better than half the roster back then so yeah I blame the booking

He was always a great wrestler, fantastic amateur background and during early 90s with his brother Rick he was incredible in the ring. Injuries took it's tool and he struggles to move as easy due to ongoing ankle issues
