The real reason is when Jericho came out and The Rock asked who he was and how the announcers were instructed to act like they have no clue who he was even though the fans did. Plus look at how Vince treated ex-WCW wrestlers if you jumped ship you could go as far as you wanted but if you stayed and came to the surface after going down with the WCW ship you would be lucky to go anywhere. A ton of WCW guys had talent but Vince buried them even Sting he buried and just like the fans Sting wanted to face The Undertaker at least once it didn’t have to be wrestlemaina it could be Raw or Smackdown even. They would have sold millions of PPVs buys if they teased it. Prime or not it was on wrestling fans wishlist for 20 years easily.
@@razorback9926 Sting’s an absolute legend and Icon lmao. Couldn’t be more wrong on all accounts. Even his surfer sting days and feud with Ric Flair that pretty much put him on the map.
He hated/hates Giant Gonzalez for not being a good worker at all He hated/hates Viscera because he injured Taker and everyone else He didn't hate Big Show, he said it was annoying that they stuck Show with him to learn after Taker complained. He HATED Hogan He used to hate Shawn Michaels, HHH, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall when they were all in the WWE because they ran pretty much ran the place. There's a story about Undertaker, Papa Shango and someone else basically being the Kliq Police and making HHH, HBK and the others get their act together.
First off Takers group was the BSK. And yes he didn't like the Kliq and neither group was afraid of the other. But we also see how it played out. Two guys left. (Kliq) one got punished and one carried on till he "lost his smile" so yeah Taker still won when it's all said and done. So much so Shawn himself has acknowledged his past and how more professional Taker always was so. YEAH!
Too bad Vjnce is a complete dipshit and we got a stupid ass Triple H ego match instead with a petty ass victory. Than had Rollins tried to cripple him which was probably a set up. Ur telling me there wasn’t a meeting where Vince didn’t want Sting working anywhere else afterwards?
Also, Sting seems like one of the industries true good guys. Also, he is a true legend and Vince shits on him the first chance he gets. Sad, because Sting is one of the greatests of all time
Ive been watching wrestling since the early 90's, wcw and wwf. Whenever a sting match would come on id change the channel, dude was boring as fuck, he is known because his gimmick is unique... but wrestling wise, promo wise, meh, kinda lame, not even close to legendary.
Yeah...makes you wonder though how much bs he saw behind the scenes and did nothing about. It's known he was 100% a company man. Never going against Vince since he always got his wrestlemania win year after year
Plus when he self-eliminated himself from the rumble as a show of respect when in the last two with Brock, or the talk of Taker suggesting him or Kurt as possible streak breakers back in Lesnar’s first run…
Taker comes across as being so attached to the craft of the business that he didn’t hate people but just hated when people were not respecting the craft by not taking it seriously/avoiding it though backstage politics.
Undertaker has said himself that he and Brock Lesnar have always been close, and that he actually encouraged Lesnar to pursue his dream of playing American Football. He has absolutely no hatred towards Lesnar at all
@@brokenkayfabe ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h1TZupWxDr4.html 6:30 onwards, from the man himself. Definitely no hatred from Taker towards Lesnar
i showed your the article from where i sourced that details the entire situation. I have others too. I didnt just make stuff up.Theres also a video with paul heyman talking about it. hes retired so i understand he has no beef. @@2rare2die100
The undertaker seems like a guy that puts the company above ALL, including friends and family. I'm not sure that's the kind of person you'd ever want to be really close with. That said, the respect would always be there.
@@dendanskehelt4296the probably the mid-90s crap he had to do that kept him away from the championship but ultimately caused him to grow in popularity and gave them so e of the greatest matches ever…
he made friends, the Bone Street Krew were close friends and he was on great terms with multiple others…he was professional and in character more than anyone else so he wasn’t able to get as close as should have been
Some people also forget Undertaker was kinda the “authority” backstage, they even had the joke for wrestlers court if someone was “in trouble” they would tell them “bring a bottle of jack tonight” because undertaker’s favorite drink was Jack Daniels and he was the “judge”
@@brokenkayfabe yeah I don’t remember where I heard that, if I remember correctly Hunter really wanted to wrestle sting. Obviously taker would have done the match if Vince said so, to me I think taker wasn’t really all that interested in working with sting. If he said Vince I want to work with him then it would have happened but probably seeing taker not say anything he probably went with triple h idea. Plus you know Vince probably loved to get one more dig at wcw
I felt Sting/Taker never happened bc both men was way past there prime and if a match did happen it would never live up to the hype...Both these guys take pride in the buisness and a poor quality match would put a blemish on there respected careers
Taker literally just said on a podcast he enjoyed and was cool with Punk, he and Brock are very close been close for years now even when Brock left WWE, he and Shawn weren’t friends in the 90s but they are now
Taker didn’t use his backstage power. JR said he dropped the title due to a dress code violation but never said Taker was the one that said he was dropping the title. Vince chose Taker because he could trust Taker to carry the title. If Taker wanted Punk to lose so bad, he would’ve won at Breaking Point not Hell in a Cell. You sound like such a mark thinking everything you said is true. You lied and used a clickbait title.
Also Punk wasn’t unhappy about losing to Taker, you’re leaving out context. He was unhappy that he would lose and then be there the next show while Taker went away. Compounded with the fact that Hunter beat Punk and went away, Rock beat Punk then lost to Cena and went away. He was sick of losing to part timers who just went away after beating him while he had to come out on tv the next day and get his shine back. He was white hot until they cooled him off and that was Vince, not Taker. He should’ve been in the main event for god sakes the miz was in the main event two years prior… he was upset and he was hurt at the time with multiple injuries and had the best match of mania to spite everyone in the back. Stop leaving out context that paints these guys in a bad light
The story about Taker taping up his fist backstage in case he needed to teach Shawn for going into business for himself is kinda scary to think about xD good thing Shawn was a professional that night
No stings best chance came in the early 2000s just after the merger. He saw the Rock Booker T segment and changed his mind according to him . That segment was a bit disrespectful to Booker and everything he accomplished but even Booker laughed at it and it opened up big things for him later on same could have happened for Sting . Taker VS Sting would have happened.
I’m sure I might’ve seen that match years ago but totally forgot about it. I do remember Sting vs a jobber who later on became Kane. So that means Sting had matches against The Brothers of Destruction. Interesting
@@jigsawkiller oh. Just checked and realized that I cut that out recently. I cut some pieces that a lot of people were skipping over to help the retention.
I think undertaker sting never happened in wwe out of respect. They did sting dirty he was the final wcw star to have wwe beat. Undertaker probably respected him and didn’t want to squash him/disagreed with the wwe run knowing how Vince would book it
There’s no evidence that he hates Sting. The two were photographed chatting at an airport after WM31. Taker probably didn’t want the match but it would have been a massive event.
I've been watching the Undertaker doing podcasts with Mike Tyson and he's a really cool 😎😎😎😎😎😎 guy, I personally believe that he doesn't hate anyone !!!!!! When Undertaker was in WCW as Mean Mark he wrestled Sting, it was a really good 😊😊😊😊😊 match and Sting Pinned Mean Mark !!!!!!!
You might wanna redo this entire video, because the Brock & Taker thing was already clarified properly by them & Taker and Shawn have made peace with each other post 90s era😂.
@@brokenkayfabe Then shouldn't the title of the video be "wrestlers that Undertaker HATED at certain points in time" and not "HATES"? I mean even "hate" seems too strong for the scenarios in this video...
@@miguel20012 Shawn burnt a lot of bridges with his attitude & drug/alcohol intake at the beginning of his career. Some people make fun of him for "finding" God but I go with Paul Levesque's take on it..."No one ever overdosed on God". At least after being "saved" he rebuilt those bridges he burnt....& no, I'm not religious...I just respect whatever changed Shawn's life so much for the better...that & his wife anyway.
Think Sting vs Undertaker is gonna be like one of the what ifs of fights lore just like Ali vs Tyson is, 🤔 imagine if that rivalry came around during the Kane years tho 😲👌
Also taker could be holding a grudge since sting was in wcw when they were trying to put WWE out of business. It seems that's the reason why ddp was buried by WWE in 2002
He doesn’t hate Brock or Shawn. He said the UFC thing was all scripted Brock was supposed to come back to the wwe and they was gonna use that for a storyline but Dana didn’t allow it.
@Alton kilbourn True he didn't care for Shawn personally during the 90s but they always had tremendous mutual respect for each other business wise. When Shawn came back in 02 after cleaning up his act they became close friends over the years. This video is way off.
That was not why he was released at all not even close. He was cut because of injuries involving a crash that he didn’t fully recover from and Minnesota wanted him to go to their Europe associate team but Lesnar chose not to. Minnesota wanted him but wanted him to get more experience and recover as well and didn’t have a spot for him.
Other than possibly Punk? the rest pretty sure Undertaker doesn't hate these guys nowadays, Had issues in past with others like Bigshow and HBK but never heard anything bad towards Sting.
We gonna gloss over "racist" being in the thumbnail yet everyone is too busy trying to prove that the undertaker doesn't dislike these people anymore or never did
As a matter of a fact Brock and Mark are actually kinda close. Yes it still hurts Mr Calaway that he lost the streak buuut in his own words (seen in interviews) if it would be done by 1 wrestler it would be Brock Lesnar. Shawn M and Mark C they have tons of dear respect for eachother as seen after the match and when C actually got out of his role by wanting to spare M for the final thombstone piledriver or chokeslam.... Which lead to the real B*tchslap HBK gave Taker in order to wake him up and do it properly.
You go ahead and get you that live laugh live tattoo. I’ll stick to wasteland of drug addiction if those were my choices. Think maybe I’m broken but couldn’t have your positive attitude and look myself in the mirror. Self loathing is where it’s at. No positive introspection please. ;-)
Taker has gone on record to say that he and brock are friends so ur kinda reaching on that one. hes also gone on record to say that when Shawn was on drugs he didnt care for him, but after he got clean they are close friends.
All those years of being Mean Mark in WCW really gave him a complex, I think. Sting was so big in those days he probably had something against him considering he was a midcarder at best.
Taker also doesn't like Shane Douglas, who angered him during their early WCW days and wouldn't have given him a WrestleMania Streak match, even though it would have been an incredible match for Shane's career(as would have been a Taker/Konnan Streak match). And when Sting retires from AEW it wouldn't surprise me if he got that call from the WWE to have either a Triple Threat match with Logan Paul and Taker, being a referee during a Taker/Logan Paul match,or to do a Saudi show against Taker(and/or Paul). Even if a Taker/Sting match would go as much of a turnout as the taker/Goldberg match did,it would be an amazing sight for all to see.
Although I think seeing Undertaker in the ring competing now's more of a pipe dream. Even when he was in the ring with Bray Wyatt and LA Knight, you could tell his presence there was more nostalgia than to be physical
That's funny that Sting is his most hated wrestler, I got to meet Sting at autograph signing, in Richmond, VA, he is was nicest guy I met in wrestling. He asked questions to my friends and I and seemed like a big fan himself of the business. Meet Scott Hall that night to, when he was Diamond Studd, just real cool guy with the fans. They put on a Wargame match that was unbelievable to watch. Lex Luger pointed me and ask if my parent's were cousin in Spanish, my friends thought I be mad and put I took it with good humor because I still got his autograph, lol. I wish modern wrestling was more like the 80s and 90s.
He’s even come out and said he didn’t have any beef with Punk, and he’s friends with Brock, he wasn’t “sent” to the UFC fight, he’s a fan of mma as he’s said before. Dana was lying for ratings. He doesn’t hate Sting, he did have a problem with HBK, but he and Shawn are cool now. He never hated Big Show, Paul was green and Taker helped him. In the future, take care in following trendy quotes and do the research.
Wonder if Undertaker feels like Sting took some of his character ideas and gimmicks. Feels like it’s coming from undertaker more than McMahon and def not sting. That would been huge and Vince want the money.
💪😎1994 Would of been the perfect year to have STING vs The Undertaker.Just 2 years before the"CrowSting"came along.1994 STING was so polished as a wrestler fueding with Rick Rude & Vader in WCW '94..while Undertaker was Fueding with Yokozuna.Mark Callaway from 1989 to 1998 was awesome in his gimmicks as The Punisher in Dallas, Mean Mark WCW and Undertaker starting in Late 1990. The original STING 1994 vs 1994 Undertaker match is the Dream Match without any doubts.
0:26 1:50 So first two minutes in your editor has screwed up two lines, and quite likely there’s several more sentences short (cut off) before they’re even half complete. Just a heads up.
Big Shoe getting made fun of for his tights and never wearing them again is like when I went to school on a Stone Cold shirt that said "I did it the hard way"
