Jeeps are amazing. But you have to know how to get around the sticker price.

I'd like to agree, but they did and people didn't buy them. Then people blamed dealers for not ordering basic ones, but the dealers said they'd just sit there.

Jeep should 100% offer a bare bones, bottom model sport wrangler with 33 inch tires standard. Call it a 1941.

Price of living have doubled and than some. Basic is all that 80 percent of people can do. 80k Rubicon who do they try to sell that besides you tuber's.

Soccer moms wouldn’t buy them without all the bells and whistles. Jeep would still loose their butt.

Agree. I have zero sympathy for dealers and their bs. But I wish all this crap would get sorted. Love jeeps and ram and want them to do great

@@dvader3263 lol, where to begin, my dream truck became a nightmare. Motor surged on it's own when idling in park, misfiring causing the whole truck to buck, broken inner door welds on all four doors sounded horrible opening and closing, leaking back hard top window had to be fixed twice and damaged the hard top. Aluminum steering box got progressively worse until it was replaced by a cast iron one. The radio would make a gun shot loud bang from the speakers at random times even when the radio was off. The software fix for the radio ended up having it often bricked for entire drives with the infamous black screen. The freedom panels came misaligned from the factory and caused leaking, dealer refused to adjust as it would " cause issues" I had to fix that myself. Every aluminum panel, hood, doors hinges etc were starting to corrode and would require basically the whole truck to be repainted. It would keep coming back. That was the last straw. oh and it made a horrible shock failing noise in winter that was caused by the center exhaust bushing mount literally removing itself from the truck. Yes it was all stock and never saw any off-roading. There is more but this is getting way too long lol.

That was a lemon. That’s not representative of the average Wrangler. It can happen with any brand.

@@Jason-Samko by doing this like you said it will scare off customers. Dealers are still trying to make good margins. What would help is if they pause this crap and move the metal! This would trigger more production. All I hear from Carlos is layoffs and cost cutting. That makes it worse. A downward death spiral. I have the 3.6 and 8 speed in my JGC. I love it! After 6 years I only have 27,000 miles. Normally I’d trade it in but with these high cost I’m just going to keep it longer. I’m not sure Stellantis will be around for warranty claims. Can you comment on the ride quality of the Gladiator? I assume the Wrangler would be the same. I’d like to move to a wrangler but worried about the ride quality. I have a bad back. Thanks. @billsanders3604 wrangler is a great ride but a unique ride. You definitely want to test drive one. The gladiator is very truck like with its longer wheel base and rides fantastic.. both will ride different than your grand cherokee . So important to test drive

@Gadfly2025 it always was used as a mall crawler witch I have great respect for. Love people that have pride of ownership and enjoy customizing theirs even if they don't offroad. I don't think it's over, and still time to fix it with a simple price drop. I can't believe they have not figured this out yet

Just found a used 23 Willy’s FULLY loaded for 38k with 2000 miles at CarMax. Taking a look at it tomorrow. It was 55k msrp

@@gusdavos8158 you might be able to negotiate a new 2024 for that price if you play hard ball. The one I was looking at is now listed high $38K. Of course they add fees on top. Like a $998 dealer fee and $700 doc fee. BS really

Negotiate the best deal you can and buy it. I bought my 2024 Rubicon extreme recon a year ago and it has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned! So fun!!!

I'm waiting it out a bit to buy. I think further discounts are coming. If you live in a few special southern states they get a whopping 25% in rebates plus whatever the dealership decides to take off. Your wrangler is about $50k down there. And they still aren't selling.

Thanks for the info, I’ll need to contact some dealers in the South, where I live in the West there’s some flexibility but not enough to justify their price Tag ! Now there is also 0% for 36 Months, but a dealer that has the Vehicle won’t discount the Jeep and give the 0%. I prefer both, or kick rocks…..Games, games, games. Just make the vehicle more affordable and every one wins.

@@johnfrancis4407 I've had a couple dealers offer to match the lost rebates to make a deal so they are out there. I am waiting for at least another 5 to 10% off before I buy. Check out Mark jeep in Louisiana for the best deals. They ship as well.

I respectfully disagree with you. Jeeps are quite reliable and I suspect you're looking at this through the lens when people go and modify their Jeeps outside of what the engineers design for the vehicle.

I have a '18 Sahara, last of the JK and it's been reliable and admittedly, the most fun and interesting of all of my past vehicles. Capable offroad and being a Sahara with all stock suspension/tire, pretty comfy on long trips. Everyone enjoys the ride.

They can't squeeze money from pockets if people don't purchase a vehicle from them. Easy.

Facts. My 2020 trailhawk laughed at the winters up in the Red River Valley. Unplowed roads on stock tires, no problem. It was a very capable little unit. The only thing that scared me was the electronics when it got below -30°F. The infotainment got pretty finicky.

Had a 2019 renegade i bought as a commuter for work. It was amazing. So much room for it's size and so much value for the money

I love my 2016 Reny with the 2.4l, which gets 25 MPG city. It's an amazing vehicle for a subcompact. My 🐕 has plenty of room in the back seat, and the front is very comfortable. However, by the 2023 model, the price was ridiculous. I plan on keeping it forever.

Wait for Nov or dec. Get 15% off. Gladiators are the best midsize truck IMO.

LOL pay them less? They just protested for a 50 percent wage increase! In this economy. The average UAW worker makes about 70+ an hour! With benefits and wages. You cant pay union workers less. And this is all manufactureres right now. Not just Jeep. F150s are stupid expensive! I just bought a used JL because I cant afford a Bronco.

@@Jason-Samko Yup, I got $12k off my Grand Cherokee without any hassle.

I had to shop all over the country though to find a dealer who would take that much off. All of my local guys would only take a few $k off. That's just a waste of my time. One dealership wouldn't even do that.

When they do decide to discontinue the Gladiator the values will hold solid in my opinion because people will want them in 5-7 years just like the Toyota FJ Cruiser

comparing apples and apples, or as close as you can get to a Jeep Rubicon, they're all pretty damn close in price. But if you are talking hard core off roading, the Jeep is unmatched right out of the box.

Only suvs with a front locker are rubicon, bronco and ineos

@@Jason-Samko I did say 4x4’s, not necessarily SUV’s. Mercedes G class and Land Rover also have front lockers. If we’re including pickups, so does the the Colorado, Silverado, Power Wagon, Sierra and both Raptors. It’s everywhere nowadays.

That's what they need to do to sell them. Alot of people don't want the 4xe. I think if they put that 13500 off of a rubicon or willys they would sell quick

@@Jason-Samko And that's the insane thing, they're just not selling. Those Jeeps are front row, on the grass on a major artery. Hundreds of people see them every day and nada. I'm actually doing research into getting a 4xE Rubicon X next year because that sure seems like a buyer's market. (I'm aware of the reliability issues and poor EV range and the fires and the recalls and the corrosion and the locker sensors and the... wait... why am I excited about this again...?)

@TrashCanCass yep stellantis may have already passed the point and people don't care any more. They are just "over it" and moving on to other brands. But right now it is a buyers market like you said and jeep builds one he'll of a great wrangler! I would not hesitate to take advantage of these deals

In addition to price, the other problem is that Stellantis let the Jeep brand go stale. Didn’t do meaningful refresh on any of the Jeep models really. This is especially obvious for the Gladiator. New Tacoma, new Ranger, new Colorado/Canyon. Heck, even the Frontier is refreshed now and they were tge butt of jokes regarding how long the Frontier went without any changes. Meanwhile, the Gladiator is the same as when it came out four years ago and tge Wrangler is almost the same as in 2018 model year.

@@Jason-Samko the Pentastar is a very good motor, but the the grunt and torque of the V8 is just more satisfying.

They just got rid of the HEMI engine in their full size truck lineup. They are not going to introduce it in their midsize truck.

Sure can. And great question. The rubicon has a front locker and stabilizer disconnect for slow speed hard core offloading and get thru anything capabilities. The Mojave is more high speed offroader with a much better suspension for bump compliance, no front locker etc. But the Mojave also has upgraded seats with more bolsteringnto keep you comfortable on rough fast drives, and some frame reinforcements to handle the hard bottoming out hits in the bumps. There are some other little differences. But those are the main ones. Rubicon is offroad get thru anyth8ng beast. Mojave is a go fast truck to handle bumps

Those are good prices. But I expect they can be better now and will be better in November and December. Both are great. The rubicon offers more capabilities with the front locker and swaybar disconnect

They did in 2023 with putting a link playe between the hinge.

@@Jason-Samko your one of few that had that luck with the panda and fiat platform. When it comes to working on them, getting parts and over all quality they’re horrible. I go back to the Jeep eagle days Jeep needs a new owner fast and a revamp. Keep it simple like they use to.

@@Jason-Samko- Not according to your video. It looks to me like there are attached roof panels and closed windows. And if you read my post again, you will see that I said MOST owners. There are exceptions to every rule, but the statistics show that the removable roof is an option that for most people doesn’t get used enough to justify the downsides.

Luxury tax Sixty Thousand euros? To double the price of the vehicle? What the heck is luxury on a wrangler? Even on a Rubicon. I like Wranglers, I have one (base Sport) but Wrangler Rubicon ain’t a Lexus/Audi/Mercedes/BMW/Land Rover.

The window sticker is brutal

The dealership can sell the vehicle for whatever price they want. In basic terms the dealership buys the vehicle from the manufacturer and then sells it to us. If the manufacturers offer rebates on vehicles the manufacturer pays those rebates to the dealer on the sold vehicle

From an insider, it costs Stellantis an average $10K to produce a Wrangler. Now let's just say they took their QC serious.. do the maths. Most of it probably spent on marketing lol.
