Stellantis Jeep Wagoneer S Cancelled? 

We live in a weird time. Chrysler is on life support. Dodge wants to be Tesla. Jeep thinks they’re Range Rover. RAM prices their trucks like they’re Fabergé eggs. 🤦‍♂️

My '97 Wrangler Sport mechanically was the best car I've ever owned! 4.0 , 2wd, 5spd. Cheap to own & simple to maintain. I miss cars like that!

I work at Stellantis. They are offering us the Wagoneer S Launch edition now for Lease. I built one to see what the price was. It was $66k window sticker. Which I was really surprised.

Jeep has a better chance of selling an electric vehicle than Dodge. Just so you know, the launch price for the Jeep Wagoneer S Fully loaded is going to be priced at just over $72,000. And I also do like the electric Dodge Charger Daytona and the Jeep Wagoneer S and would like to own one if I can ever make it work financially for me.

I would never buy a Range Rover, you have to buy two , to keep one on the road.😅

I quite liked the Airflow concept. But, the MBAs probably said "if we paste a Jeep badge on it, we can charge more than if it had a Chrysler badge". But then they thought "we positioned Wagoneer above Jeep, so if we paste a Wagoneer badge on it, we can charge even more". The S also seemed too small to be a Waggy, to me, as the Waggy brand has been associated with freaking huge. I was puzzled why the Waggy S was supposedly going into Toluca, while the other STLA Large models were going into Windsor. Well, they solved that problem, by not putting the S into Toluca. So, what is next for Toluca? Keep the Compass there, as it transitions to STLA Medium, instead of putting it in Brampton? Maybe the Waggy S will appear, in Windsor, as the Airflow, as it should have from the start?

I think your correct about the jeep will never be put into production. I think Stlantass is exactly what he is for what he has done the this industry. The only thing I see is he is trying to put Chrysler, Dodge out of business.

It almost seems that Stellantis is trying to kill Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Stellantis has to have a vehicle line up that can pass the American standards. Why not see if the Mexican Neon can be modified for sales in America. Give them an affordable vehicle that is reliable, easy to own, comfortable and a worthy competitor to the Honda and Toyota? But maybe I am in a dream world.

Stellantis sells Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler within 12 month...just wait.

Manufacturers had no choice to play the game. Even when they knew that electric wasnt the future. Toyota said in 1999 when the prius first came out that it was just the next step until something better came along. hydrogen was certainly too expensive at the time even though they existed.

Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and Dodge quality ratings are always bottom 1 or 2. Only Range Rover beats them out on occasion. Maybe the days of UAW workers working 4 out of 8 hours and coming in drunk and on drugs making over $100K a year is coming to an end.

Doesn’t matter how “Perfect” it can theoretically be, you’re still going to have UAW workers putting it together. UAW will always find a way to fuck up the quality.

Sad that we won’t be able to buy a 100k+ suv with a 300 mile range to save the planet 🥲 I guess we’ll stick to the 450mi range gassers.

As a Jeep guy I believe you are absolutely right. I doubt an EV Jeep Wagoneer will ever see the light of day. And I wouldn't even by a plug in hybrid without a 10 year, 100k battery warranty and you can bet your ass that there will be something wrong with it before the warranty runs out, then it will get sold or traded.

Jeep like all other auto makers are pushing this battery car nonsense. People should be smart enough to realize these clown cars are going to be a nightmare to live with and cost them a boat load of money. Never buy one! The manufacturers have to push back on this government intrusion. There are plenty good reliable high MPG cars available even if not from Jeep or Stellantis.

A piece on CNBC this morning says Waggy S launch only delayed by 4-6 weeks. Also, price cuts.

Just build by order it may take a little longer for your vehicle but there won’t be any extra inventory. Build 0ne for every dealership show room and if you get 1 order for 1 just build 1.

The Wagoner was a turd from day one. Just like the civilian hummer, a few people want them just because they are 100k and they want to look like big shots, but the reality is they just aren't very good "every day" cars. Why the American companies choose those platforms for EVs...... is beyond me. The EV people want small commuter vehicles and the large vehicles people dont want EVs.... Give me an old jeep with a straight six cylinder in it. What were they 4.0 used to have a scrambler before my gladiator had a lot of fun with it. It was a stick if I could buy a quality Jeep I would but I think my last ones because the rest are junk.

But in order to do that they must have ICE versions of the wagoneer S to run on the same platform to keep the plant up and running or another ICE vehicle
