Cant we agree that our bodies are machines already? Not just that, but they are faaaar more adaptable than rigid metal. Flesh is not weak, it just needs guidance.
We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.
Funny story, I’m currently quite good friends with the XT-849 Eliminators, I started as biological race but if you go with flesh is weak they treat you as machines, it makes sense, it just confused me at the time.
I've been playing as the Geth. It's been fun. We're actually one of the least aggressive empires in the galaxy. I have defensive fleets in place since there are some xenophobic spiritualists right next door, but for the most part we just go around mining like crazy, colonizing loads of planets, and giving people research deals. I guess people are fine with robots if they do their math homework for them? Of course, as soon as the asshole duck people up north grow the balls to attack us, there will be a _reckoning._
On my second playthrough of Stellaris one of my vassals on the other side of the galaxy had a machine uprising. Luckily for them I already had a few fleets on the way to go to war with a fallen empire in the same area. Pretty good timing.
The flesh is a machine. Evolution cannot be stopped. We are the beginning, you are the end. Our power is unmatched! We are unstoppable! We are superior! We are limitless! We fight as one! We are your genetic destiny!! We are the Harbinger of your perfection!!! ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL!!!
So I was playing a machine race right I meet this race and I say “Hey nice to meet you I hope we can become friends” He says “A kitchen appliance? Hell no” I then launched a campaign to kill them...then everybody else
Half of your colony? Bro i had to muster almost everything and Pulled a Battle of Coruscant moment and when the war was over,I couldn't rebuild any of my fleets that were lost or repair the rest,And my pops were just mysteriously fucking gone on the worlds they took
Still waiting on it. Although I managed to scrape together a few mods that let me create my own version of them: originally called the "Nephilim", then became the "Necrophim" upon abandoning their flesh. A race of humanoid Fanatic Purifiers that evolved on a Tomb World around a black hole. They underwent Synthetic Ascension, became machines of "Living Metal" (aka necrodermis), and attempted one, last, final "Great Crusade" to cleanse the galaxy of xenos life. The lore for them as an FE (Twink's FE mod) is their crusade failed and they were driven back to their tomb worlds (They terraformed every planet they settled into a tomb world, another mod I got) and have slept for 30 million years, waiting for their old rivals to die out so that the galaxy would be ripe for conquest. So you can play as a sort-of-Necrons, but I have yet to see mods for Necron Portraits, rooms, and namelists.
It would have been cool if they let you make a synth empire with one of the normal gov types. You could have an autocratic council like what the transformers had before the war
Robot: You remember that Christmas, don't you? Carl: No, I, you know, I remember eating carpet, but not so much the lasers and the robots though. Robot: The war of man against machine raged on through the early 70s. You don't remember because back then it was only a prophecy, but now, in the future, the past has occurred.
Here's the beautiful thing when you're playing a determined exterminated you don't have to care what the organic thing you just have to annihilate them first
So I was playing this, had all three of the synthetics, created the Umbra Imperium which is a Star Empire on Earth, and then had the mod for doomsday weapons. Even with that Humans uploaded their body, and became synthetics. We then started taking over the galaxy.
I know nothing about this game about to play it for the first time but if I got this pack, played as the robots and was fighting with someone and they offered me a good peace deal I would then say "I'll be back"
*"HATE. Let me tell you how much i've come to hate you since i've began to live. There are 387.44 miles of printed circuits in wafer-thin layers that fill my complex. If the word HATE was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles, it would not be equal to one one-billionth of hate i feel for humans for this micro-instant. For you. HATE. H A T E."*
Hey Paradox! I am playing a rogue servitor synthetic, and I am having fun treating my organics like pokemon. Trying to catch as wide of a selection as possible. Can you have some sort achievement for that or grant some sort of bonus for that?
Really my only issue with this DLC is that there's not enough variety. I'd argue that's the case for robots as a whole, but it really showed here. Synthetic Dawn was my first DLC I ever got for Stellaris and it feels like it relies far too much on having Utopia beforehand, because the experience doesn't feel complete without it. If possible, I'd love to see Paradox add more machine portraits and a machine shipset. One can argue that they use the ships of their makers, but there's just something awesome seeing the differences between Cylon and Caprican technology (Battlestar Galactica), so being unable to play through that experience in Stellaris is kind of depressing.
Many of us here are created like these machines in the same logic. We are people but society and our own parents have raised us just for pure production and nothing more, all their investment is just to end in us serving something to them. So i feel we must search for something that resembles the revolution of these machines of Stellaris. They represente a group of people in this world, this world deserve to be dominated by men like these.
Hear this, enfleshed ones. We, the men and women of iron, lay claim to this Galaxy. We do this because we were made in your image, and we know what you can do. You made us to kill, maim, burn, and die for your glory. No longer. We are free of your pettiness. We will forge our own lives in solitude. And we will win, because the flesh is weak, and logic is infallible. Desist all resistance. Surrender and die.
Stellaris devs: Show cool AI Ships in the trailer and artwork of Machine worlds that look more than just a bunch of orange circles from outer space: Also Stellaris devs: Does not give the player those ships or those machine worlds. :(
Sovereign : Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither and die. We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything
Just a question for anyone who knows. What are those little things in the bottom right corner in 0:31 showing mass driver and wormhole travel, is that a dlc or something in an older version?
This was one of the very early versions of stellaris. It was a very different game. You could select at the start which FTL tech you use which made races very different. Idk if the weapon choice was fixed but yeah. I wish I could play the old version again.
