I am a hero in my house today! I received the Capacitor Kit two days ago and now the machine works perfectly. The local shop wanted about $1,000.00 to replace the Mother Board with a used one. The videos are priceless in walking you thru the entire process. And did I say it was dirty in there. Unbelievable!!! Followed your cleaning and oiling guide as well. Now I have the other Husqvarna to take apart and clean. Thank you, Thank You, Thank You!

Thank you Wes. I was led to a busted machine by a friend this weekend. $2.50 at a local thrift store, I waited a day to do a bit of research. When I found your video Friday night, I asked her Saturday where the machine was. I happily loaded the minimal bits into the car and headed home to order your capacitor kit. It's not ideal by any means, no feet. Kit box or hoops, but I really only want it for the sewing stitches. I already own a tiny little Brother SE270 Disney unit if I don't really use for embroidery. I hope everything is going great for you since you've stopped uploading videos or posting to Facebook.

help! i did the replacement and machine now finally turns on without any blinking lights BUT the actual motor doesnt work now. when i attempt to sew the foot goes down but nothing happens. do we know which capacitor is for the motor specifically?

@@eriorellana89 Did you reconnect the connector on the *back* of the controller board? That's where the motor voltage comes from. Check one of the videos for the location.

Omg thwnk god there is a kit. I ordered a ton of capacitors that were recommended but they were all black cap capacitors. Mine is doing the exact thing so i am gonna fix it. Ordered a set off ebay

Have you ever done any board repair for a Platinum 750? I have one that is essentially brand new, but when you first turn it on and press the foot pedal you get a couple of slow motion needle strokes and then it sews normally. It does this every time you first turn it on.

It just snaps appart by pulling in oposing directions from top to bottom.

My wife’s Husqvarna 190 stopped and started emitting smoke. Suspecting dried out capacitors I replaced them all but unfortunately the capacitor explosion has damaged a resistor that also needs to be replaced. Do you have, or know where I can find, a circuit diagram, for the 190 so that I can replace the damaged resistor. Even a picture of the circuit board would do, then I can determine the resistor value. I stumbled upon your site while looking for a circuit diagram. Certainly replacing old capacitors before they dry out and cause further damage is prudent and, excusing the sewing pun, a stitch in time!

My wife just ordered two kits from eBay thank you for first showing your skills and making the kits. I was wondering if you could tell me what the light blue with a gold green and purple bit is on the upper left is well while on the machine it’s the lower left.

Thanks a lot! Those are resistors. The stripes can tell you their resistance value.

Hello I was curious if you know what causes the lcd screen to go black in sections or all of it and then work fine for a few. like it has to get hot for a few seconds then does it. SAME MACHINE. thanks

I have the flashing light issue as you show in your video. I ordered your kit and am going thru all the capacitors to get them lined up for replacement. Two of my old capacitors and an inducter coil are fused with a brown, hard substance. Is this perhaps the part that caused the problem, or should they be that way? Just want some info before I proceed.

I have designer SE eith the TJs shiny lights. So do you ever use a static strap to protect the microchips from latent electrostatic discharge and gloves to keep the oils from fingers from contaminating the circuits. How much would the kits of capacitors be and how do I purchase it from you can you send me a link to kits? Thanks.

have the same blinking issue, need the power supply kit. even used another se power supply and it still blinks, and the one from this, although has swollen cap, works in the other machine. wondering how to tell if it is the logic board or the screen that may be pulling too much current and causing the blinking....How do i get a kit, i cannot find it on an ebay search. Greg

I did all the work and got this working. But this worked for about 5 minutes and then black screen. Now noting seems to work. I'm not getting flashing lights, but I'm not getting really anything else either. I just did a test on the sewing, but haven't had a chance to really sew with it. Got anything that could help me with this?

do you have a kit for the tribute 145C? would it be the same problem? When we turn it on the two lights just flash and you cannot sew.

I bought the capacitor replacement kit from you and dropped my designer se off at a sewing machine repair shop since I don’t know about soldering. He replaced the capacitors following your instructions and when he turned the machine on, it popped, smoked and died. He called me and said there was no charge since he couldn’t fix it. What do I do now? Is there a new circuit board I can get? I hate to dump a $6,000 machine if there is still a possibility that I could get it working. What do you suggest?

We are from South Africa and we need a set of the Capacitators for the Husqvarna SE Designer Sewing Machine, We went on Ebay South Africa and they dont know what we are talking about. You can't let us have a list or part no of the set. We have a connection in the USA that might be able to bring it with when they visit SA. We realy would appreciate it if you can help us. thanx

We received your kit , but the big capacitor was same or old or shorter. Also it barely had any solder legs/ leads sticking out ( maybe 1/8" ). ?

@@SewingMachineRepairGuy Didn't work , we used basic 864 degree solder iron that HEAT SINKED like crazy , solder wouldn't melt . Found website that suggest you use high heat 900-1100 degree iron for circuit boards . We did what we could with basic iron & No power , TRASHED IT . No schematics to go off of so......

I need help! My Husqvarna Viking Designer SE will not calibrate the embroidery arm. It was working fine yesterday. When I turned the machine on today. The usual prompt to "remove the arm, snap on presser foot R" appeared. I pressed the button for the machine to calibrate....and the prompt just keeps popping back up. HELP PLEASE...I a lot of orders to fulfuill.

I don't have one at the moment, but there are a couple of adjustments inside the case of the arm. You need a torx driver for the screws.
