I hope this guide helps those that are looking to wash their hair after a hair transplant! Don't forget to drop a like on the video to let me know you wanna see more tips like this! 👊 P.S. Not mentioned in the video, but after the 11th day, you can continue to use other shampoo's to wash your hair normally after!
Hello Amit , if you don’t mind to disclose the cost of two hair transplants? I am thinking to get mine done at Vera Clinic, would be nice to have heads up for what to expect? Thank you!
Nothing is more satisfying than washing off the scabs and being able to physically touch your head. I won’t lie, I hated the first 10 days. I’m just over 3 months now and seeing a little bit of growth. Good luck to you in your journey, Amit. Thanks for the video.
Same day i visit turkey same Day they removed me a mole from the backside of my head.taking me blood and then later on we did the procedure.First night was a nightmare as my head was swelling a lot and i couldn't sleep very good.. Second day we did the washing in to the clinic and third day some examinations.Im very satisfied with the results at the moment..The only thing that you people mustvto know a hair transplant it is painful when they do the local anesthesia..like lot of injections..(Depends always how many you need to don't feel any pain for the procedure)and till the swelling recedes completely!!!Other than that it needs a lot of patience and bravery if you do that trip by your own!! Hopefully to be able to touch my head at few days and feel like normal again. Thanks a lot for the video mate!!And thanks everyone for reading!!
I got my hair transplant 7 days ago, the hair clinic has been doing it every other day but it's a round trip of 18 miles in Bangkok where I live. So in about 8 days time I will be washing my hair on my own. At the moment I get a tingling feeling on my head and I have a lot of scabs on my head .
I would like to add for day two I found us some doctors recommend if the high pressure is too much to fill a cup of water and then use that cup of water to pour over your scalp on the trans area that will provide a low flow alternative instead of using the showerhead
I had the same thing happen to me at the hotel water pressure to strong -}}} What i did is use the cups they give in the hotel room beside the coffee machine and bring that in the shower and start pouring the water out of that cup gently on your head VOILA! Mission Accomplished / Take care Bud ~ from Montreal Canada!
@@amitposthair Its nice to see the new hairline taking shape :) im positively surprised so far. I think me and you had a similar baldness, but I think your hair quality is better. Lets see, I did halv head now and if theres enough to make the crown later on iĺl probably go for it
My doctor in NY gave me written instructions that I may remove my scabs (crusts) in the shower on the 8th day, using the soft bristles of a small sponge he provided. I received a PRP treatment, as well as ATP spray post-op, which accelerate healing. Can this be the reason for the premature scab removal instructions?
Hey Amit Thanks so much for all your videos, you have gotten me through the last 10 days since my surgery! Tomorrow I wash my scabs off, I have noticed a few small hairs in my scabs, but noted you said that is normal. I also have to go back to do my crown in 6 to 12 months as they already did 6050 grafts for my hairline and mid section. One question I had, did you do the additional Stem cell treatment Vera clinic is offering as well? thank you again for putting videos like these out there for your fellow patients, you rock!
congrats on getting yours done! and glad the videos are helping! I personally did not do the stem cell treatment as at the time, they did not offer it to me. But i may consider it in the future on my own.
Im on day 10 now. Again your videos are so helpfull. Im gonna get the scabs off tomorrow so watching the videos how to do it. Just 1 question, do you need to put on lotion first before putting on the shampoo and rubbing off the scabs?
We could all have avoided the hairtransplant to begin with if we all started finasteride at the very first sight of hairloss !!! This is insane how we all made the same mistake waiting for hairloss to get really bad before starting medication... then no choice but to waste grafts / money for a hairtransplant... No judgment here ! (I did the exact same mistake). Thanks to all the fear mongering on the internet : I started finasteride 10 years too late and had to get a hairtransplant etc.. Prevention is key 🔑. Edit : great video by the way! 👍
agreed! i wish i new about finasteride much earlier, but unfortunately for me, that wasnt the case and i needed 2 procedures to get it done. I started taking it a year ago and i think its definately been a game changer in keeping my existing native hairs!
Unfortunately,in some cases, nope! Genes 😅 I started topical minoxidil and finastirid end of my 20s for ten years, still almost had no hair left ten years later so stopped. Now that my hairloss slowed down since the 40s did the HT and restarting meds...
@@amitposthair noted man! Thank you. Off topic after you returned to the gym was you able to drink protein shakes. I've been told to stay off whey and stuff but asking around to see what others did.
honestly, with olive skin or darker, just going bald looks good. you should bic your head and put on some muscle. light skinned guys with super pale heads and visible viens showing through are the ones who really shouldn't go bald, again, unless they're jacked. skinny and bald is a rough look
It's been over two weeks now and still have scabs. My doctor said that I need to remove them as soon as possible. Otherwise will be a problem with the regrowth. What do you think?
Hello Amit, I'm 10 days post HT and I see a lot ot those scabs from donor area fell off naturally. I'm washing my hair the exact way you showed in this video so its super helpful and thank you so much. I wanted to ask you a question? Transplanted grafts also have scabs, so I was wondering when are they going to fall off? And how long before I can cut my hair a bit from the sides and back? Thank you so much man
Its a lot of effort to go through every day for the scabs for 11 days ... the whole reason for this is because adherent scabs increase the risk of loss of graft. let me explain. Up till day 7 pulling on a graft always results in loss of graft, but after day 7 that is no longer the case ... BUT ... if you pull on the scab the graft will be lost up till Day 9. So the main reason for trying to minimize the scabs is to save yourself 2 days (9 minus 7) of potentially losing graft. After 3 hair transplants I can tell you though that no matter how diligent you are with your hourly spraying of saline on scalp, soaking for 30 minutes with conditioner etc, you will still have a lot of scabs by Day 9. Also my Hair Doc always said Don't wash hair for 3 days ... I personally think that's a good recommendation and always worked for me because there is such a high risk of loss unless you're extremely careful doing washing. P.S Amit, when you were in hotel you could've just used a cup to gently pour water over head in shower. ;)
That's interesting about not washing for 3 days post procedure since many clinics do a wash the immediately after the procedure. I suppose there are many different approaches.
When did you regain feeling in your head after the surgery? I still experience a strange sensation when lying down after the 5th day post-surgery, and I'm unsure if this is due to anesthesia or if it's considered normal behavior.
You shouldn’t really bend your head forward due to swelling and I would Recommend using a bottle of warm water as opposed to a shower head as this can ruin the grafts.
Hi brother. Nice to meet you. I had my hair transplant on December 20th. I have some doubts, please clear it and thank you in advance. 1. How to use minoxidil with my finger tips.? 2. What food should i take for better growth 3. after 11th day, how many days should i continue washing head 4. Is hairs are falling off while washing head and on pillow i saw some of hairs, is it normal.? 5. I want to know month wise guidance what to do after 15days of hair transplant upto 6months.? Please 6. Can i drink alcohol after two months
hey man! glad you got it done! To answer your questions: 1. I have a video showing you how to use minoxidil on the channel! check that out if you havent already! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--QcvccENPcM.html 2. As long as its not unhealhty fast food you should be good! 3. Continue washing your head every day as your scalp will still become dry 4. Yes this very normal, its called the shedding phase 5. Just keep taking care of it every month with after care. I have many videos on the channel to help with that 6. You can drink alcohol even after 1 week, just not excessively
you can wash your head normaly after the 11th day and switch to your own shampoo's and conditioners afterl I use the Revita shampoo and conditioner which can be found here! dslaboratories.com/collections/best-sellers/products/revita-shampoo?afmc=iu& Made a video about them too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UPq6Xmp-sO4.html
I just done my hair transplant I was told by my surgeon just to use Johnson’s lotion . I bought Bepanthol cream but I was abit scared to use it . Day 4 and still no sleep 🥹.
I can’t thank you enough for making these videos . Luckily I didn’t have to go turkey to get this done . I done it in my home town Sydney Australia . Didn’t want to go through the transit headache for an extra $2k . Thank you once again
i never felt the need for it as my results had turned out pretty good the first time around. However, i've seen some people have positive results from using it, so it could be worth a shot if you feel you have the capacity for it!
Congratulations mate. Do you see any hairs coming out while applying the shampoo or while rinsing it out? Let's say your native hairs, or those already transplanted last year, not the new ones ? Thanks
i definately did see some hairs come out but im not 100% certain which they are. it was hard to tell when you're srubbing multiple areas. But in any case, i wouldnt worry to much because those that do come off isnt that much
After applying the moisturizing cream, how do you wash it out? I’ll shampoo and pour cup after cup of warm water on my head, get out of the shower and my head will still be covered in the white Repair Care Lotion 🤔
I'm 10 days post surgery today. All scabs are gone from the donor area and I started the gentle removal from the front today. It felt so good to be able to start that process and finally see the hair underneath. My donor area is still very tender. Is that normal? I'm assuming it is.
very normal! yu've just had your surgery so it will take time to fully heal. I'd say after a month then only your donor area will start feeling back to 100%. hang in there!
Hello, After how long will my scabs completely clear? Now I have 8 days gone. Can i use direct shampoo to my had Scabs or have to wait for 10 or more to 15 days? I know after two weeks I will stop using what I get from the Istanbul clinic shampoo. Tx
@@amitposthair Hello MR, Thank you very much for your reply to my message but one more question I want to know It’s been eight days today I haven’t slept well properly Now I can’t sleep anymore elevated way. Please advise me, Can I back to normal sleep starting today or wait for 10 days or more days?😍👍🤝
I would highly recommend the sleeping video I made on my channel first. I would say wait till once the scabs are all off then try sleeping normally! I know it's tough but hang in there it Will pass!!
I went to vera clinic too, I went there exactly a month ago. I’m going through the ugly shedding phase right now, I was having really bad temporal recession. My dad is completely bald on top and I’m nervous that I might be heading his direction too. They did 3400 grafts on me, I am hoping I will have enough grafts to do the crown area in the future. I was wondering about your crown area, it looks like they didn’t go in that spiral 🌀motion that they said they were going to do to give it that natural look. What are your take on that? Btw, I was wondering about the numbers of grafts where they would be giving us the numbers of singles/doubles/triples/quadruplets. From the time they had extracted hair from my donor area to the part where they started the transfer of follicles. I’m like there’s no way they counting all those grafts that quick, yet alone categorizing all of the follicles, I was wondering if they are using a machine to help them count it
Hey Amit, how do you keep the donor area from being too dry/sore/flakey the following days after the scabs start to fall out? Do you use any lotions/creams/oils for it?
i actually did not use anything! i didnt have to much flakiness so it wasnt too much of an issue for me. but i do hear using certain lotions and creams help!
hey man! I'll be touching on the price of it in another video but i basically paid around the same as last time. I made an older video about that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qhT5MH8UflQ.html but i did get a total of 4k grafts this time around, which i'll be going through in another video for the full breakdown as well
They said the hair is too dangerously damaged. Day 2 they say remove the donor area bandages and begin with a foam light rub on that and remove after 10 mins with spray bottle of water mist no shower near the top of head yet. This is a fue transplant by one of the best company’s in brazil
It’s 7 days post op and I’m more worried about the site of my doner area. It looks like I have 2 very bloody bullet holes in the back of my head. It’s very intimidating. I’m wondering whether this about if blood clotting is normal?
Hey man you probably answered this ? In a previous video but how long should one wait to wear a hat(not the one the clinic gives you but a normal hat) and to workout?
you can start wearing your own hats after about 2 weeks, just nothing thats tight on your head though. And i'd recommend starting to work out properly after about a month!
Hello, I would like to ask on your opinion. I´ve decided to remove scabs after 15 days after hair transplant. I gentle washed area with scalps , then put shampoo onto them, then washed again. Think is , that I removed the scalps by fingernails, I was gentle and I managed to remove all of them, but there was hairs too , u said that it can happen that there would be hairs , and from clinic they said same. But still I am little bit scared of that.
dont be afriad! scabs are meant to come off and it will be an on-going process till they are all removed. seeing hairs is normal, thats the transplatned hairs that need to shed anyway for your new hairs to grow out!
Im on day 18, but my doctor said don't rub it, just tab it. Now i have a lot of yellowish round dead skin mainly on top of the hairs. I don't dare to rub them of😢
then again after 3 months the growing hair falls and takes some time to begin growing the real (finally) new hair, is that it? how long does it takes to grow the hair after falling?
it takes about a month to start seeing some small new hair growth after the shedding phase, but after that, about 2 months later, you'll see some substantial growth!
white bumps is something i havent heard about but it could be due to the moisturizer you're using? sometimes it causes a discoloration after if its not completely washed out. but the scabs should come in by the 12th day
Thank you for your sharing information. Can you please talk about how cost the procedure? Which package did you took? I want to go there to get hair transplant but I want to know a little more information. I wish you shall reply back to me.
I basically did the same package as before, which was the fast track package, but i'll go through that in a separate video soon! I do have an older video showing how much i paid for my first procedure though here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qhT5MH8UflQ.html
Just had a transplant 3 days ago and today was my first day and while I had low pressure water but stayed under the water for 5 minutes could that hurt the recipient area? I’m so scared
That's fine fine. just make sure you arent using too much of hot water and its more lukewarm. Overly excessive hot water for 5 mins could damage that more
yes grafts are still there! just be very careful as it is still early days for you. try not to touch the area too much and just do light rubs when washing your head
hy bro i did my transplant 9 days ago i just use baby shampo mixed with water and pour it on transplated area and now its 10th days so i should apply baby shampo directly there and rub with two fingers? second from now how much days it will take to remove scabs ? plz give me answer
keep trying to scrub them off for the next day or two, they should all be fully off by then! It took me roughtly 30-40 mins to get everything off properly
Hmmm not too sure because most places ask u to start washing after the first day at home. This is to make sure you don't have any dead skin hanging around your head to prevent your transplanted hairs from growing
Thanks brother I really liked your videos they encourage me to do hair transplant but I have question for your second hair transplant results on the crown area did you post a video for final results iam missing that may be please give link thanks Amit for your regards
thanks for watching the vids! I did my second transplant just recenetly in april this year! I have monthly update videos i post as well as my full transplanted video on my channel! Check it out!
After my wash the crown still looks as bald as it was before the procedure. I guess what it looks like now (before the shed) is what the final result will be😢. Looks like scalp pigmentation in months.
@amitposthair I understand I actually think it's lighting conditions aswel. I can look in certain conditions or take a picture and it'll look OK and then others look dreadful. The camera on my phone seems to look significantly worse than the mirror.
Hey your video is awesome and so helpful im on my fourth day and my head literally feels like its on fire any tips for what to use? I only got a lotion for scalp removal...
From Day 1 I was given a course of antibiotics, some co-codamol for pain, anti-inflammatories and a saline spray to use every 30 minutes (a couple squirts on the transplanted area - NOT the donor area). The saline spray helps to keep the scalp moist and reduce itchiness. (I'm currently on day 3) I'm also using a neck pillow and sleeping at 45 degrees - I've been told I can sleep normally from day 6. For showering I was instructed to put some Johnson's baby shampoo mixed with tepid water in a pint glass and pour it over my scalp x3, then rinse x3. Obviously the best thing to do is consult your clinician but I got some pretty thorough aftercare instructions and it's been good for me so far.
I;m 10 days post surgery and my donor area feels the same way. The scabs are gone but it's still so tender to the touch. It's irritating but i'm assuming that's normal at this point.
*I think they did a pretty bad job on the left side of your crown. There is clearly a streak of bald skin going around like a semi circle on the left of the crown. There should have been some nice grafts to cover this area and make it look even when compared to the right side of the crown.*
@@amitposthair thats a relief to hear it has almost been unbareable i thought something was majorly wrong however today day6 it has settled down alot. Thanks
