Good job bro! I like your excitement about your new setup! Reminds me of myself 3 months ago! But let me tell you bro, my setup consists of all harbinger stuff.. I have a v8 mixer hooked up to 2 18 inch subs and 4 15 inch speakers! Bro I tell you, it shakes my house! Thier loud with a clear sound! The base is unbelievable! The only problem is it all cost me over $3300 bucks for everything and now my wife is all sad. Cause she thinks that money could of went on a diamond ring or necklace for her! Lol . Respect bro. Buddy Rodriguez from Pueblo
Appreciate it bro! I wish I had the extra money to throw on and buy more but little by little I’ll get there. Definitely want to invest in v4315’s with the 18 inch subs! I heard them 15’s are way better and just keep my 12’s for smaller events like I’m already doing now.
@@Jtoxic1992 I hear you brother! I don't DJ or anything like that but I just like listening to music! Besides even if I wanted to I don't have a clue of todays music. I'm into the oldies, classic rock, classic country and Spanish music. I'm a security guard and I have to work alot of venues like weddings, graduations, etc. And I just trip of what young people jam to today! Lol but it's all good! I guess I just old school? Right on bro! Good luck going forward.
@@buddyrodriguez5111 lmao I thought you were a dj! Lmao that’s a lot of stereo equipment for personal use! That’s fucking awesome!! I will say I’m not a fan of new era music myself. I listen to everything before I add them for my playlist’s and all the new stuff I hear, I be thinking this new generation fucking sucks for music! Lmao it pains to hear it but I have to add it.
i love my Harbinger 2312s...i link my 18" Harbinger sub to them when i do bigger events....i thought about buying the 12 inch subs before i bought the 18....Upgrading the first of next year....I have had my 2312s for 2 years in December
Dude. I don't even kno u & I so enjoy ur reality. I play Gospel only & been DJing on & off for possibly 2yrs..But.... Lol constantly having trouble hooking up @ every event. 2 15" Powered Tops to a 6channel Bomge Mixer (I.m still learning) & an 18" Powered Behringer Sub
Nice brother .. i have the same speakers with a sx2 they get loud n the sound is clear .. but having that 12 sub is nice for when u need a extra punch .. especialy on the latin music …am staring as well .. keep them videos coming ..🙏🏼god bless
Thanks so much! I bought 2 ls900 line array speakers on sale and they have the same in/out setup as the mains you are using. I have been holding out on that sub not knowing how to hook it up. Best of luck.
Well now you have an extra little mixer in your set up. But technically all you needed were the right cables. All you needed were RCA to 1/4 in (balanced). Meaning, one end of the cables have RCA plugs, and the other end has 1/4 in (balanced) plugs. RCA outputs on your DJ mixer, to 1/4 in (balanced) inputs on each of your top speakers. Then XLR's on each, to "link" the tops with your subs. I guess you could always use that little mixer to plug in a mic (but you probably have a mic input already on your DJ mixer).
hay jtoxic i love the video but the the last part is incorrect instead of using the linkin u should be using the line side of chanel 1 or 2 the linkin port is for syncing the speakers from one to the other i been doing sound for 30 plus yrs i also have the vari4114 harbengers
Great set up for DJ brother! do you happen to know or anyone here in the comments if I can connect harbinger vari 2312 as a floor monitor and connect it to another speaker instead of the mixer? Thanks
You should be able to if you run it from the out of one speaker to the one your using as the monitor. If you have subs hooked up. You could run it also from the output of the sub to the monitor speaker. The harbinger subs have two of each so it should work
Yes I still use them and looking to upgrade to 15’s speakers with the 18’ sub! I know there’s better quality sound out there with speakers but I don’t find anything wrong with these! I have no complaints, my shit still sounds clear
Hey man, thinking about getting 2 v2315s or 12s with the 12 inch sub, just for my house because I like my music stupid loud and I’ll use it for parties, any suggestions or anything
When I bought my set. The I asked the salesman how much of a difference they are. Besides the size he said there’s much similar both sound great. I know many people prefer to have 15’s. I May still upgrade myself to 15’s with 18 inch subs but if it’s just for you house and parties. The 12’s with the 12 inch sub is more than enough for that! You still won’t be disappointed. They are loud and clear!
Np, glad this video helped, grateful for everyone watching and subscribing. Definitely needed the help myself, so happy this is able to help others! God bless! 🙏🏽
What I could afford at the time and honestly it’s working great so far and installed a bigger ram and it’s doing really good. But for sure am saving up to move on to Mac
@@Jtoxic1992 I want to learn how to dj . I got myself some older 15” 2212 harbinger speakers . I would like to get a sub for it for better sound . Can I use any kind of sub or does it have to be from harbinger ? Do I need to get a mixer ? If so does it matter what kind I got a cheap controller to start mixing (numark) and I got a laptop with Apple Music , for some reason I can not get my music to play on serato , virtual djay . Would you happen to know what am I doing wrong . I might just go to guitar center and get 12” sub from harbinger..
@@MsLatina I believe you can, but from what I heard from other big named DJ’s. Still great to stick to same manufacture cuz they go together. But don’t mix subs, you can lose power and sound
you doing it wrong you connect your deck to the mixer line 1 for left and line 2 for right then you connect your tops to the mixer and the subs on mono ohhh iam a dj
LETS BE REAL, THIS IS A MICKEY MOUSE SET UP. THAT MIXER LOOKS LIKE A GUITAR FOOT PEDAL, WTF !!!! AND WHAT YOU HOLDING ARE TRS OR TR CABLES NOT XLR CABLE.
Yea I got it wrong when I first mentioned the cables but as I’ve said in the video I’m new to the industry. What I have works great for me right now, I don’t have issues, my clients are happy and if you got advice on equipment you’d recommend I’m all for it. So Mickey Mouse set up or not. I’m getting the job done!
Tbh having a set of 12’s would sound awesome but I’ve heard the 18 inch sub goes hard, I haven’t heard it personally. But I think I’m gunna buy a pair of 18’s for big hall weddings, my 12 sounds great what the events I’m doing now.
Hello enjoyed your video but why was it necessary to run cable to the right & left side of your sub inputs? I run my sub on a separate l channel (mono) so I can control bass output. The right side doesn’t help with bass sound.
@@bengordon01 im not shure if your a newbie but that is the correct way of doing it. The subwoofer has crossover that cuts the lower frequencies of the tops so they can work more efficiently, more clear mids and highs and of course the sub will take care of the lower frequencies. This can give a longer life to ur tops speakers and not stress them out working full range.
@@bengordon01 Tbh that’s how I was told, I asked at the place where I bought the equipment from cuz I have never hooked up a system like that before. And it all worked so I just stayed with it. Still learning as I go brother.
Good job my brother! I like your enthusiasm and excitement about your new setup! Reminds me of myself a couple of months back! But anyway, my setup consists of all harbingers stuff from guitar center. I have a v8 mixer which is hooked up to 2 18s powered subs and 4 15s powered speakers! Since it's cold outside I play them in my basement! Let me tell you bro, it's freaking loud but very clear sound and the base is awesome! My house shakes like crazy! And I only have them at 2 o clock setting! I heard on another RU-vid channel and this young kid said always put your sub on mono and not stereo? He may be right I guess since he the orofessional! Lol but to be honest, I don't hear any difference? Anyway, just want to put my 2 cents in where it doesn't belong. Respect brother, B. Rodriguez from Pueblo Colo.
Hey, what’s up man? I have a couple questions maybe you could help me out I live out here in California I’ve been out to a couple DJs spots and it seems that they can’t help me out. Is there any way I could contact you and you could help me out?
