@@ilikecheeseburger42 maybe in your modern NBA. We both know it isn’t the same. It’s not about the game anymore…it’s about money. Dude would average 10 a game in any other era.
Wouldn’t work out. Most great shooters aren’t that good of a ball handler, cuz they’ll devote their focus and energy onto shooting that’s how shooters like him and Reggie miller get hot. Steph just a different animal
Klay is a pure shooter. Curry is a point guard that knows that he has that ability to handle the ball to be able to get into other people hands but curry made sure he perfect the shooting
I mean, everyone's got their attributes, we might say Klay is one-dimensional on offense, but he definitely gets it done in there and was always a pretty good defender before the injuries as well. Ofc I'm not arguing he's as good as Steph, I'm just saying that it's not like he's just a "Steph that doesn't dribble". He could definitely do it to some degree if he trained for it, but he decided to train for other skills and it paid off, their synergy was immaculate for years. Sadly it might be coming to an end, tho...
If his handles are top 3, why isn't he top 3 in driving to the basket? If he can get by anyone, which a player who is top 3 in handles can do, why doesn't he use them to score like every other player with great handles does? Curry plays like a scared little girl. He is nothing but a 3pt shooter.
@goofy_xf6223 no player who scores half their pts from 3 and less than 10 from 2 has more than 1 trick in their bag. Curry is an avg player with 1 skill. He would've lost to any of kobe's or mj's teams.
I believe you're misinterpreting... They are not doing "nothing" but at the end of the day they get paid to play a game... While people like nurses and doctors do 24 hrs shifts, literally save lives and will never see that money, even if they lived for 300 years. I know it's because of the economy in this shitty world works and they earn that much because basketball brings a lot of money BUT It's really fucked up when you think about and you'll realize it when you get older and start working :)
@@xxbigbangxx1entertainment is what keeps most of the population in America. Not doctors not nurses, n it doesn’t just go for America. futbol is the most popular sport in the world make more than those doctors and nurses. U gotta think, most people don’t need medical attention everyday but most people do want entertainment everyday, it’s more impactful to the world than saving lives since only certain people need that. Ima be honest 300 years will definitely make them that type of money but that won’t be possible in this life.
@@xxbigbangxx1it'd also be easier for you to become a doctor than an NBA player. There are a million doctors currently practicing in the USA alone and under 600 players in the NBA.
@@coolcustomer31crazy you mention this. My wife just said to me earlier while I was watching the elite 8. She said “what a shame, there is so langnif these kids that are so good at basketball and won’t get a chance to play in the nba” I said yes, 1 percent make the league and that’s 1 percent of the kids in all of college sports I think I read. Correct me if I’m wrong. But I also said, they get great educations for free cause of their talent, now if they find a job in their majors is another story.
This is who Russ needs to train with during the off season. Your shooting sucks, go workout with the best shooter. You will pickup a few things to incorporate in training to make it better. But Russ comes across as a stubborn guy and still thinks the way he use to train is the way.
STEPH IS THE ABSOLUTE HANDS DOWN REASON THAT KYRIES IS AO GOOD WITU THE BALL TODAY. I PROMISE YOU 2013-2016 NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF BASKETBALL HAD BETTER HANDLES THAN STEPH CURRY. HE STOPPED DOING SO MUCH DUE TO ANKLE INJURIES
but thats the same reason of why curry can play at a high level for a longer time, his off dribble is one of the best, he creates his own shots nobody has to create them for him (not taking anything away from klay hes definately top 3 shooter)
And magic to some is still considered the point guard goat 🐐😞. But nobody in NBA history has been able to do what Steph has done and shoot like him he will always be my point guard goat love you my light skin brother ❤❤❤❤
Both are genius-level basketball players. Magic created his own team offense, and won five chips with it. He could do everything, but his fame is how he made others around him better. That's what a point guard used to be defined as. In that sense (maybe you would call it old school sense) no one has ever compared with Magic. But when it comes to the individual skills of shooting and crazy ball handling, Steph is obviously better.
I don't like Magic - Curry comparison for a simple reason - Steph is not a PG. He plays on that position, but he is undersized SG. GSW are playing with 2SG's and point forward. Because they had best shooting duo in history and both shooters were willing to pass to other if he was hot it worked. It also worked because Steph is really good at playing off ball, being bate and setting screens.
He shoot so well & golden state is screen heavy to get klay & steph open but when the play break down..steph can handle that rock & that part of his game dont get the credit
Must be nice to be the only player ever that 2k said they couldn't replicate. But I remember playing 2k on Dreamcast. I set my player to 99 on all stats. He was only my height at 6’2,” and that guy was pulling from everywhere and making it. My buddy Dan got so pissed he throw the controller down and walked home 😂😂😂. This was back in 2002 and 2003. I was used to pulling from the timeline and halfcourt. Like regular jump shots. That's just how we played Around the World in my part of Atlanta. Once I joined the military and played with them. They couldn't believe what I was doing. And I had a 56” vertical. So it was hard to block my shot once I was up there. But Steph is on a different level. That guy will pull from anywhere and drain it. If you don't block it, you can pretty much count it. He can do what I never could, and that's shoot wide open. People would leave me open once they knew I would pretty much drain it with someone guarding me but miss it wide open. Idk why that was. On the off chance anyone reading this went to Spalding. It's ya boi, EL. And has anyone beaten my vertical record yet?
I've never understood why Steph doesn't average 10 assists per game every year. He grabs the attention from at least two defenders once he starts dribbling. I understand his scoring is necessary. With Draymond being ejected so much and risking suspension plus the Rockets being on their trail for the 10th seed, he should pass the ball more.
