Crazy how Rob was one of the main bus drivers on the “Steph doesn’t have a Finals mvp” argument but now that he has it, the award doesn’t matter as much

I totally understand why this championship means more to Steph Curry. His team went through a few rough seasons including him having his own personal injury. To come back from all of that and to not only win but to get the finals MVP is pretty remarkable. He had a remarkable season overall.

There is no answer that Steph could have given that Rob wouldn't criticise. Had Steph not one finals MVP, Rob would be singing about how right he was/is about Steph. Now that he's won it, it no longer means much? One of Rob's points is, this chip only means more to him because he won finals MVP. He literally explained why it meant so much and there was nothing bogus in what he said. Also, even if the MVP is the reason why he is saying he would rather have the current one, so? What's wrong with that? That's really not far from saying, he's only talking like this because he won. Yeah...that's part of the reason you want to win - what is so strange/bogus about choosing the thing that visibly gave you the most joy and you got the most appreciation for? Hosting the ESPYS and now being considered as a top 10 all time player over KD all because of this win will do that to you. I guarantee you he would have no qualms with Kobe picking a championship he won without Shaq as being his favourite. Less than 10 years he says, we can only hope.

It took the Cavs 7 games down 3-1 to beat Golden State in 2016. Why do people claim the Cavs wouldve automatically had won the next 2 years if the Warriors didn't have KD? Don't believe in this trash logic and don't let anybody get you to discredit Stephen Curry.

The Cleveland championship for LeBron isn't about whether his team was stacked or not.....he won for his home team. That is why it meant more

Good grief Rob is extra. Steph said this one was sweater because of what they went threw the past three seasons. Lose in the finals in 2019, he breaks his hand the next season, Klay tears his Achilles when he was suppose to be back from the ACL tear, they get the 8th seed but lose in the play in and miss the playoffs. That is his reasoning, and I think he would say that even without the Finals MVP. Dudes the ultimate teammate who just wants to win.

My feeling is that it would be more satisfying. Winning something you are expected to win is rarely as good as winning something as the underdog. Also, he was the clear MVP this time around. Steph is not selfish, but being the overwhelming reason you won has got to feel good.

Rob misses the point. If we're going to alter reality and literally remove some titles then yeah, Rob could be right but Steph feels ths way BECAUSE of all the people who want to invalidate those KD titles, and because of the injuries, and because of all the people who said that they'd never win again without KD. It has more meaning to him than those KD titles. That's why he feels that way.

It should mean more than the last 3. First one, he won with a cavs team held together with band-aids. The next 2 and almost 3 was the Durant show. Last season, it was all him. He willed his team to win and was the leader in that.

I don’t understand why the media acts like there’s absolutely no chance Golden State wins another ring if Durant doesn’t join the team. They act like getting through LeBron and Cleveland in subsequent years would have been impossible. GS was up 3 games to 1 before allowing Cleveland to take the series to 7 games, were minutes away from winning game 7, and had to undergo the biggest collapse in history to lose. To claim they’d definitely never get back or win another ring is just so beyond logic. Golden State would have been in the Finals every year. All they needed was a slight upgrade from Harrison Barnes, and they’d be better than that 73-9 team come playoff time. They act like there’s no way Steph would have more than 2 rings if Durant didn’t join, which just flies in the face of facts and logic. Durant was a luxury, not a necessity.
