@@froggiesilver22 Yes!!! I hated my own CSA abuser but the pain and long lasting anger was even greater for the one who knew and was supposed to be my protector. Mothers should never fail their precious babies in this way. It had a profound effect on how i patented. I was perhaps a bit overly cautious but i didn’t care.

@rhondaalbrec they can prove she neglected to protect her child , that she told her daughter to go upstairs because she needed her sleep altho she didn't even have to work the following day that is child neglect a second degree felony . They can prove she lied under oath on several instances during a crime investigation that's obstruction of justice another felony under Florida law .

That’s exactly what I thought at first I thought she was just kind of naive and he took advantage of her because he knew she wasn’t very smart to be honest ! But after I heard her say that she put her in the bed with him and then she told his parents that they should get him a lawyer I couldn’t defend her anymore after that ! I’d forgotten about that picture that she denied knowing who it was ! She’s just as sick as he is they’re both horrible people and I hope they both go to jail for a very long time!

When my son died his boys were an eight year old and a sixteen month old , and with a widow that young it scared me to death ,, fortunately she is now in a long term relationship and will probably get married but just knowing pedophiles prey on young widows with children missing their daddy , I know I sounded like a paranoid nut but I couldn't help but remind her of it .

I so agree. I was divorced with sons, whose father was deliberately aloof and disengaged, I had a few relationships, but never to the extent of having a man feeling at home in my home, or involving them in my children's lives. Nobody had the freedom of the house, the keys to the door, or access to my kids in my absence. So I find Jen Soto's behavior appalling. incomprehensible.

Stephen was using his dad's car (because the loser didn't maintain his own on time) this car was used as a "poodle ambulance". It was full of blood, puke etc that couldn't be washed out the car anymore. it was gross. But yeah, I think she was ashamed about him as well.

Jenn skipped her daughter’s birthday to work ONE shift and then kicked her out on her birthday cause she needed to go to bed sooo bad that she couldn’t see her daughter who needs help to get settled, to bed. And then didn’t even wake up to see her to school or to participate in her ‘special birthday breakfast’? And THEN she goes to pick her up and doesn’t even go in to get her when she doesn’t come out of the school. She claims she didn’t want to make the other parents wait but why didn’t she circle around? She didn’t wait cause she knew she was dead.

👏👏👏. I agree with your actions to keep your kids safe and giving them the space they need to grow without having to process additional unnecessary life changes. I would do the same. I won't even think about it. Not for a minute. My peace and my solitud while helping my kids to grow is the most important thing. Around here, people seems like they just can't live without someone else. They desperately and spontaneously need a relationship. Between the divorced parents and their new partners poor kids go crazy. How They talk about kids and teenagers so they can have an excuse to feel closer to each other, so they can have something to talk about is awful. Everyone is against the child. These people make their own kids vulnerable because they expose them. But also it's horrible that someone trusts the wrong person.

I agree that a mother always knows, & it's very possible that she had some kind of thought about it, but I think it was more she just didn't care. It seems like being a mother was way down on her list of priorities in life. Anything in Maddies life she probably just couldn't be bothered with, & probably also why Maddie never tried to tell her mother what was going on. She probably had tried to tell her mother lots of things throughout her life that her mother either blew off or ignored, invalidated her in some kind of way. Jen was only a mother biologically, she never nurtured that bond with Maddie.

Why is the DA not running a case against the mother? She should be on trial for child neglect and/or abuse. Surely they have enough evidence? This is mind-boggling. Children need to be secure and safe, especially at home. This obviously did not happen, and to use the excuse of "they always slept together, as I need sleep" does not make sense. Send her to jail as well, so she has enough "me" time.

I can bet they do have a case on her but the evidence isn't enough for conviction yet. It took a while for the arrest of the boyfriend because law enforcement waits to arrest until they're sure they have enough evidence that the court will convict. Just because charges haven't been laid out doesn't mean there isn't an investigation.

She knew what was going on. Why would you have your bf over if you don't want to sleep with him? Why did Maddie had to have a "bedroom" that it wasn't even a real bedroom. Your own child doesn't have privacy in her own home, but then, Jen needed to sleep by herself in her king-size bed. I hope they put her in jail. I lived in Orlando for 20 years, worked in the Orange County School system and am a survivor of incest and other SA. (One tends to lead to the other). This case distresses me on so many levels. I don’t know if he (or she) will go to trial, but if they do, I would really like to attend on behalf of Maddie. So many cases of SA involve a mother who allows herself to be snowed by a sexual predator skilled in grooming & conning. I’m doing my best to reserve judgement of the mother, due to her emotional disabilities and because I know that SAs are extremely skillful manipulators. In addition, Dr. Gary B has confirmed that many victims of complex trauma look like this mother. But best case scenario, Maddie’s needs & safety weren’t her top priorities.😒

As a former social worker these situations are not as rare as you think unfortunately, some people are really dysfunctional due to their own upbringing. sexual boundaries are non existent as demonstrated in this case where it was deemed okay for maddie to share a bed with him. They need to look very deeply into the mothers history I would hazard a good guess she comes from one of these families. I had women tell me their mothers knew of their abuse and turned a blind eye. There were families where girls were SA by their own brothers. The job opened my eyes to a world I never knew existed. I’m sorry but with my experience and everything that happened to this poor girl IMO Jen gives me the vibes of this type

and his parents have quite an odd past...his mother was living alone with Stephan when he was little...Chris Sterns was conducting a years long relationship with another woman who he professed to love. Stephan and his mother moved back in with Chris which he seemed at best ambivalent about, he continued his affair throughout. So many families present a false narrative when the reality is messy & dysfunctional.

Not exactly. In his parent’s interview, they explain that this car is used as their poodle “ambulance”. They breed standard poodles and that’s why there’s so many dog seat belts, leashes, blood, vomit, etc. They were already in the car. They said the dogs would get blood all over the car when they docked their tails, gave birth, etc. Although, he probably did use the one in the front passenger seat to wrap around her neck to hold her upright, without her falling in the floorboard. 😢

i hope Dr. John touches on Stephan’s parents. during his dad’s interview it seemed like he knew something was wrong with his son but he was in denial or didn’t believe it could get as bad as it truly was. i also think stephan thought he could fool investigators because he THOUGHT his dad was unaware and oblivious so he thought he had him fooled too. I have heard some arguments over whether or not kids sleep on the way to school. They do and it's not a big deal or a clue that Sterns was lying (outside the likelihood that she was not sleeping but deceased). What is unbelievable is that a teen who was sleeping hard enough to refuse a free McDonald's breakfast would decide she wanted to get out 5 min away from school on a cold morning and walk the rest of the way. This was the same day or the day after. How could he not remember such easy stuff. I think Jen was there when he “got back” the first time but left soon after for the blood appt. She claimed she got up at 9.30 for a 10.15 appointment. He’d have to have remembered whether she was still in bed or getting ready or about to leave or whatever it was. He says he has only taken her to school on his own 2 or 3 times ever yet says things like “ she does that a lot when we are going to school” or “she’s always asking me to drop her a bit away” He was giving so many unnecessary details like what type of danish he gave her and how she liked the cool walks at a certain time. So much was screaming he had killed her.

Something just dawned on me that is strange. I’ve heard from Jenns interviews that she asked Stephan to come back to stay with her so he can help with Maddie. Because she got a new job. I found this extremely strange but there we are… then I saw someone comment on another video that she was only working two days a week and that the next day she didn’t have work so there was no reason for her to send them away so she can sleep. Soooooo…… if she’s only working two days a week why on earth did she ask Stephan to come back unless she planned this too, she knew what was going to go down? Which goes along with her changing her story about whether or not she saw Maddie get ready for school, and why they keep saying “we” dropped her off. They have said “we” repeatedly- you don’t say we if it should just be I or He - multiple times.

I've never understood the "I forgot my gate clicker" argument... Why would that ever need to leave the car? Is each apartment only given one clicker so you have to move them between cars if you have more than one vehicle? His argument would make more sense if he actually drove a "Hoopdie"- There is absolutely nothing embarrassing about the car he was driving, even for a teenager.

When the gate guy was interviewed he said Stephan had his clicker but told him it wasn’t working so he let him back through with a “sleeping” Maddie in the passenger seat. God knows what his real reason was for returning to the townhouse but it was nothing to do with a “clicker”

I find it odd that Jenn woke up at 10 am and Stephan said she took a nap at 12pm. That sounds fishy AF to me. Who takes a nap after sleeping for 11 hours? This makes me think he was giving her an alibi.

Feb. 26 in the morning: Wow, 09:25 he said he came home 10:15 and Jen was waking up at that time. Jen said, she had an appointment at 09:30 and came home 11:00.

Everyone saying the mom "had to of known". She did! I guarantee the detectives are gathering enough evidence for a conviction before the arrest. If they just arrest without enough evidence she will walk. It's very obvious the mother gave her daughter to him to use as a play toy. The problem is court works very differently the daily life. They need concrete evidence.
