Millions of planes and helicopters fly daily with little to no incident… You have to do your due diligence and hire people who are going to make good tough decisions even if the occupant’s get salty or upset. That pilot flying Kobe and the rest, caved and tried to please the occupants because they were running late for a game. A grossly negligent miscalculation due to weather conditions that they shouldn’t have been flying in; it took all of their lives that day. That pilot as a trained professional knew this, yet he overestimated his skill set and what happened, happened. I fly all the time and I’m uneasy and cringe with anxiety but I’m always on the go - and at some point, you got to trust the pros who do the flying. No different from trusting IT to keep systems safe at the bank that houses your money, or the bus driver taking your kids to school, or the mechanic changing the tires on your truck, or the engineers who constructed the bridge you cross everyday to get home. We all have an occupation that others depend on, and hopefully we all wake up trying to do our best and make the right decisions - not just for others but for us and our families too. It’s ok to be apprehensive but it’s life and hopefully, yours will remain safe, prosperous, healthy and happy. Thems are the facts!
