So in the year where we had a 11 vs 9 seed in the Elite Eight. A year in which a 16 seed finally beat a 1 seed A year in which for a while a 98 year old nun was the most popular thing in college basketball... A 1 seed Villinove won. Congrats on the Title though

contact on that play is called a foul 90% of the time. as for the experts, not one of them mentioned DD once in pregame talk. this game was won by a white guy who avg 10 and he came up with 21 over his avg. mich shoots 13% on 3's for their lowest % in 15 years but niw nova is one of the all time greats.geeshh.

Villanova has the best record in college hoops over the last 5 years. They're 165-21, so yes, they should be talked about in the topic of "all-time greats." DiVincenzo's block was about as clean as you can get. And if you think his performance was a fluke, you're missing the dynamic of Villanova's roster. DV would start for most programs, but Villanova's depth on their roster kept him as a 6th man (although he started while Phil Booth was injured during the season). Their style of play is such that any guy on team can step up and be the "star." Brunson scored 9 points in that game, which was the first game all year he didn't score more than 10.

Donte was on. He played well thru the tournament but a couple times he got hot. The skill and talent was there. Good to see Nova go out on top. Jay Wright is doing a great job. Always been a good coach. He is rewriting his legacy good for him....

I still can’t hear it enough, I still can’t watch it enough!?! Lol man we had good teams over the last 10-15yrs!.. my teams have givin me enough heartache over my first 20+ yrs, if you would’ve told me back in the 90s that Nova, the Pats, & the Sox would win Multiple titles over my next 20 and have ALLTIME Great teams/Players I would’ve gotten instantly hostile from the past hurt and then prob would’ve cried in sadness cuz there was just no way it could happen. I'm from Philly, so I'm a bit prejudiced. But, I saw the Eagles win as a team, not as a bunch of individual players. I feel the same way about Villanova. The best thing that has happened to college basketball is those 1 and done teams. It opens the floodgates for smaller colleges that get less athletic but high BB IQ players that will stay for 3 or 4 years.

They can be out-coached-Wisconsin has showed it- this team is full of hard nosed ballers. I just am reluctant to call this win a showing of ULTIMATE program superiority. Michigan almost got there entirely by coaching, and could have been beat if their 6th man didn’t catch fire. I may be speaking from a place of inexperience with the big east but I need a little more proof before I can mention them with the Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas, and other types of schools that will just be successful no matter what. Congrats Nova it was unbelievable seeing that team play!

I feel like michigan played good, they really limited alot of what nova wanted to do, and that donte dude just went off and nova started playin alot of iso ball through him. Brunson was like 3-12 or something, if you would of told me the best player in the country would have an off night i woulda said michigan has a really good shot at winning, even bridges wasnt all of that, he hit a few timely shots, but he wasnt dominate, michigan lost the game because divincenzo went off.
