It happened over years with Roy not over night and Roy fought the majority of the time at super middle weight and light heavy weight. Terrance still hasn't fought a fight at 154 yet. To go from 147 to only one fight then straight to 168 Crawford not gonna be the same fighter with that extra weight bro
No he’s grown into his division. Also let’s not forget canelo started at 154 & moved up 3 classes. Bud started at like 135 I believe. So he’s already a lot bigger than bud to begin with, let alone having more power & has been getting punched by way bigger guys. It doesn’t make sense.

Sparring is sparring. Not going in there to hurt your opponent like you would in an actual boxing match.

Couple of things here…first, Canelo isn’t a natural 168. He’s really a 160 fighter who himself is fighting above his size. Frankly, he could possibly even make 154 but he doesn’t like to drain his body like most fighters including Crawford. If this fight happens, who by the way Crawford has been calling for, if Canelo wins he needs to get full credit! Crawford took the fight, made the weight and therefore should have NO EXCUSES!!! Canelo has said he doesn’t want the fight because he won’t get credit, which is very likely, but he has also said money talks! Secondly, Stephen doesn’t want Crawford to fight Canelo because “Crawford is too small” yet he demands Canelo to fight Benavidez who is much bigger and has a significantly larger size difference than Crawford/Canelo! Third, why isn’t Benavidez on the P4P list if he’s such a monster? It’s such hypocrisy! I do believe Benavidez is all that and more but I don’t want people praising him without backing it up with a P4P ranking! I mean, Stephen would rather Canelo fight a non-P4P ranked fighter vs his #1 P4P fighter! I frankly don’t want a Crawford/Canelo fight because like Canelo has said, he won’t get credit…but, if the fight does happen, for sure I will watch and Canelo better get his flowers! And should be ranked #1 alongside with Inoue for P4P!!!
Bivol declined the rematch and Benavidez isn't a draw and won't even activate mandatory despite his talk, instead running to 175 to fight a guy coming out of retirement. Meanwhile if Canelo who's 5'7.5 and started at 140 was able to fight two 6'+ career light heavyweight champs at 175, there should be nothing to stop Bud from moving up to fight the smallest guy at 168. And it's Bud who's been cloutchasing Caenlo not the other way around.
He probably box on the outside cause he definitely the better boxer of the two . My thing is the fighter bud is you hit him with a good shot , he WILL stand in the middle and fight you . When will people understand, Crawford has a whole boxing academy and spars with fighters even bigger than Canelo. As a boxer ain't the mindset wanting to fight to see who's the toughest/best skillful boxer? There’s weight classes for a reason Crawford has power and speed for his division, but fighting Canelo at 160-168 it’s a whole different level. Canelo will dominate Crawford if the fight happens.

Benavidez is at 175 not 168 he literally has fought at cruiserweight before bud and canelo are pretty much the same size both 5’8 canelo is a small man GET IT TOGETHER
The special thing about Benavidez is that he is a cruiser weight fighting at 168 pounds. That is 2 weight divisions under his weight. Too scared to fight Bivol or a Beterbiev So Canelo will punish him with no “payday” 😂
