Duran jumped up 2 weight classes to fight Leonard and Benitez. Jumped up another to fight Hearns, and then another to fight Hagler. This isn't as far reaching as fans make it seem. Crawford has the skills, and if he can pull off a decision victory, he might earn his spot as one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport!!

Difference is leonard hagler was the superfight to make for years. Hagler and Leonard were closer in size and is more akin to mayweather pacquiao in terms of significance (2 stand out fighters of their generation)). These guys know way more than me about all fighters and boxing but it's always my two favorite fighters that they don't fully understand their unusual abilities: Crawford and Beterbiev. Crawford humbled these guys when he beat Spence.... he'll do the same if he fights Canelo. Canelo's only advantage is size... not in reach, height or boxing IQ.

Canelo is definitely a thicker wider guy. The stand the same with bud having longer arms by a good margin. I think bud is better skilled fighter but canelo is more than elite. He too has high level skills, other worldly power and experience vs other insane elites. I think bc he has the mayweather experience, he will be able to handle bud. I can only see bud winning via decision. There’s no way he can hurt canelo. Canelos chin is fucking granite. Canelo chin combined with power combined with his own skillset being maxed out. He wins. Bud has more tools but the tools Canelo does have are at absolute max.

I'm always amazed at the disrespect so many of us die hard fans lobby at "casuals." Like what's the point of insulting people interested in our sport? And we wonder why boxing exists on the fringes. Instead of mocking these people and pushing them away we should be trying to bring them in and popularize the sport. I just don't get it. There's a space to differentiate between die-hards and casuals when it comes to boxing knowledge. I get that. But it's another thing altogether to arrogantly look down on casual fans of the sport - which we need more of if we want to stick around. Just saying.

I could understand the worry if Canelo was David Benavidezs size (6ft 3ish 4ish w/very Long Arms walks around between 220-240) but Canelos only 5ft 7" 1/2 and weighs no more than 180-190.... Crawfords like a good 170 off Camp.....this is a fair fight

Is it easier to come up in weight or to cut weight. I never boxed or wrestled but know lots who have and it’s cut weight to a point . I think it has more to do with power and keeping a frame than speed or quickness. Gaining 35 lbs in 10 days is different than losing 35 lbs in 10 days 🎉
