Without Hardens two 40+ pt games they're not even in a game 7 and yeah he played bad but Embid couldn't manage 2 good games in the 7 he played? Kind of baffling to put so much criticism on Harden who is obviously the 1B to Embiid. Harden was terrible as well but, Embiids’ play was egregious, 5-18 on a mere 15 points. Embiid deserves most of the blame for not willing his team to even be competitive as well as Doc for not adjusting the offense at all.

Why is harden getting more hate than Embid. Yeah harden didnt play good today but if it were not for him 76ers would not have went 7 games. Meanwhile embid is suppose to be the most valuable player and dropped 15 points on 5-18 shooting in a win or go home game.

The strength and weakness of the sixers is Joel Embiid. Embiid was exposed vs the celtics. Emibiid was irrelevant in this game, he was like the second coming of Rudy Gobert. Everytime a switch occurs Embiid wasnt able to guard Tatum or the rest of the celtics in the perimeter.Embiid was so slow, Slow footed as he cant do nothing to depend the perimeter. Embiid became irrelevant when the game turned into a 3point shooting contest and perimeter game. Who ever Embiid is guarding in the perimeter got best out of him, the celtics can easily beat Embiid on the dribble or take a 3point shot. This is why AD and Jokic are better than Embiid because both AD and jokic can do so many things aside from scoring, Jokic is also a great passer.

To my eyes, his biggest value (and the reason he was given MVP), was to keep Jokic out of the NBA record books. ESPN may want to hire someone with knowledge of NBA history. In 1961 playoffs made 6 teams (Celtics, Warriors, Nationals, Hawks, Lakers and Pistons). Whole league had 8 teams and Knicks and Royals were the teams that missed it. After 1953 next season where playoffs had 8 teams happened in 1967.

One thing is for sure, Spo is the best coach in the NBA by a country mile at this point in time. What he achieves with his rosters over the years is nothing short of incredible.

I've always looked at Harden as a regular season player only. He sure knows how to pad the stats in the regular season when the pressure is off but historically over this man's career, he's always had a lot of help on the teams he's gone deep into the playoffs with and on so many occasions in those playoff runs, he's come up small in numerous ways. Whether it's the turnovers, or terrible shooting, selling out on defense with low effort or even in some cases playing timid and taking less than 10 shots in a game as the #1 scoring option, etc. Sure, there's a few occasions where he's went off, but in crucial moments, clutch moments, it rarely happens. Like yeah, he's a great scorer. A hall of fame one, realistically. But I don't think he's ever gonna win a championship with his style of basketball as the #1 option on a team and I think sooner rather than later, he's gonna go back to being a 6th man off the bench, as he ages. He rarely puts effort into defense, even in big games, he suffers from the same thing that guys like Carmelo Anthony suffered from. He's an isolation player predominantly, doesn't know how to move off the ball at all. If his step-back 3 ball isn't there, he'll drive and create contact(A lot of times ticky tack stuff he creates himself)so he can get his points at the foul line. It's what he's done ever since he blew up in Houston after getting traded out of OKC. His game hasn't really evolved at all. And just like with Carmelo, he's made it known he doesn't wanna play any other way, doesn't wanna play off-ball, wants to be the primary ball handler. Carmelo had to face reality, he didn't have a choice anymore if he wanted to keep playing in the NBA. Harden isn't there yet, but he will be eventually. As a scorer, he's elite. As an all-around superstar? I've always felt he's overrated. There's my hot take for the night.
