Very impressive performance by AOC. Of course she knew it was Colbert - he was cracking jokes the whole time - but she kept a straight face and stayed perfectly on message, never condescending to his pretended idiocy. A brilliantly improvised skit.
I don't know if Sybaris is a national chain but for those that missed it, Sybaris has waterfall and pool suites and is promoted as a romantic getaway. In reality it's a clean(er) high end 'hourly style' place to help you get laid. OF COURSE Danny Frank 'votes' there, hah!

I've been following Ms. AOC's political career and admire all she has done in Congress, including, filing articles of impeachment of two Supreme Court judges, but I just gotta compliment on what a beautiful woman she is, both inside and out.
I love how smart and articulate she is, a total stranger in front of her and she was kind enough to even share a hotdog moment with him not knowing he was Stephen colbert she's awesome we need more like her in politics.
Zero chance...and that is a good thing. She doesn't compromise on her principles and can't be bought. If she makes it to become president she will have sold out and that will be a sad day. Donors have so much influence over the DNC and their primary process that she'd never stand a chance unless she bends the knee to Wall Street, big Pharma etc. Won't happen.

I am a 52-year-old. There has never been an event in American politics that gave me anything other than a feeling of doom. Until I realized that the DNC is actually giving AOC a little bit of respect not the amount she deserves, but just some honest respectful interaction with her is so encouraging, I hope it continues
I'm 49 and if you think that they give her a "little bit of respect" then you're not paying attention. AOC is one of the most loved and respected members in the house. America LOVES her.

@@shadowpawn an, admittedly brief, perusal of the internet says no. Secret service only protect President, candidates for President, and Vice Presidents and candidates, and their families. No one else is listed. That being said, I think others have a point that they, and other security likely know everything that is going on inside that building, and I'm willing to be that actual floor level area is pretty much press only anyway.
