+Liam Arnold Way too early for that, Cosmos is like a once every 30 or so years event. Unless a development occurs that is so major, that it fundamentally shifts the way we look at the Universe, be it extraterrestrial aliens or warp drive, Cosmos should be a once a generation or two event.

I would love a Season 2. Honestly, I would love to see it go past Season 34 if that means that there are people in this world that would love to explore beyond our own Solar System and embrace the unknown that is throughout our galaxy.

+Meeny McSweeny Obscure science fiction? Ringworld is an iconic science fiction novel along the lines of I, Robot, Enders Game to name a few. Hell, the video game Halo is based upon it. Just because it hasn't been made into a movie doesn't mean its obscure.

BOOM! This is why I love Colbert. He brings the geeky into the main stream. I love the Ringworld reference. He could have dumbed it down and said we found Halo but he kept it real.
Are there more interviews or talks with MacFarlane and Tyson? I feel like they would make an amazing duo. Both have equal enthusiasm for science and humour while Tyson is mostly knowledge with some gteat humor and MacFarlane is mostly humour with great science knowledge. I feel as though they could riff off of each other all day in a great way. It could be equally hilarious and educational.

+FullMetal1717 if we get a probe to Europa and can prove that it's water contains bacteria as it's currently theorized, then that's all the proof that's needed that life exists beyond earth. Of course, given the size of the observable universe, it's mathematically impossible for life to only exist on Earth.

I agree with Joe though, life is probably common in the universe - anywhere there is liquid water. The component atoms of life are the most common elements in the universe.
When I see all three of these guys, I think of Family Guy in real life. Like Seth MacFarlane as Peter (in a fat suit,) Brian and Stewie (CG,) Neil deGrasse Tyson as Cleveland and Stephen Colbert as Quagmire.
