Have you ever tripped to the Cowboy Capital of the World?

Used to live in stephenville Texas . Right next to tarelton state university . And next to summer sky treatment center . Miss hard 8ight BBQ and Montana's restaurant as well as Castillo's cafe and chicken express . Taco casa was great for cheap tex Mex . And stood in the same plaza as Hastings video . Really miss those places

Hard 8 is the bomb. Ate there one of many times and the band cross canadian rag weed was there eating. But the Cowboy Capital of the World is Bandera Tx.

Best chicken fried steak I ever has was in Stephenville, TX!

What about the waffle breakfast sandwich from Peacocks? Montanas? Castillos sweet tea? Those and the Golden Wall by the movie theater are classic stops as a poor college student.

Hard 8 is the best!!! Have been there many, many times! Coopers is great as well! Love those two places and love Stephenville, but, Bandera is the cowboy capital!😊

I went to Tarleton State University located in Stephenville Texas. The race population is mainly white. I wanted to see if I can find my love. Which is snow bunnies.

Four of us rode down to Stephenville to try the CFS at Jake and Dorothy's Cafe. What a disappointment! Each of our Chicken Fried Steaks were full of gristle and tasted like they had been fried in dirty grease. The mashed potatoes were bland with zero flavor. The service was terrible. The waitress was slow and got our orders wrong and then disappeared. We had to go to the counter and ask for our ticket to pay and leave, which took quite a while because they couldn't find our ticket or waitress. The waitresses were complaining about management in front of customers and to top it off...there were flies EVERYWHERE. I wish we could get our time and money back. What a friggin' mess. I mentioned our experience to a friend that lives in Stephenville and she remarked that I should have asked her about it first. She called it the true definition of a "Greasy Spoon Cafe" because you'll ACTUALLY get a greasy spoon. But at least we had a nice motorcycle ride down to Stephenville.

Jake & Dorothy's has probably been an institution in Stephenville since before I was born and their CFS were full of gristle then, too. Do these places pay you to say nice things about them?
