At Approx 7:38 PM February 16, 2024, Firefighters from station 611 and 618 of the sterling volunteer fire company and the Loudoun County Combined Fire Rescue System responded to Silver Ridge Dr for an outside gas leak. almost one hour later, the call would escalate, and the house would explode, injuring 13 and killing one firefighter, prompting a massive response from all over the region. it is a very tough time for this community, and we hope you all are keeping everyone in your thoughts and prayers as the investigators work to uncover the cause of the explosion.
