With bated breath And bended knee I pray in earnest She comes back to me Without a word Without a fight I let her slip away into the night Oh well I’m strong But I’m not that strong I pray the world loosens it’s grip on me Oh, and time tells When all else has failed I’ll be waiting here with bated breath With heavy heart Upon my sleeve Wear my emotions for the world to see With each breath in Won’t let it out Afraid it’d be the least of her around Oh we both said what we had to say Just as all lovers would do Oh, and time tells When all else has failed I’ll still be waiting here with bated breath And oh, for now All that remains Is frozen and framed And now, love’s an illusion There are no guarantees For me With bated breath All hope aside I leave to chance the chance love Comes back to life Oh well I’m strong But I’m not that strong I pray the world loosens it’s grip on me Oh and time tells When all else has failed I’ll be waiting here with bated breath I’ll still be waiting here with bated breath
Inspiring hard rock song Steve I’m also a mental health survivor for a few years now this song has inspired my mental health struggles I had fought on my demons in my life it was hard but I pull thru and stayed strong on myself and believe in myself that’s how music healed me from the mental health drama trauma I was feeling banger hated rock inspired song I heard your gonna be playing at Vernon hills days this year I’ll be there too at the Vernon hills days with my parents can’t wait for this moment love you 🥰
Steve, what a song! Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY...Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay, so having you represent BKLYN in one of the greatest bands in history was something else. And to this day, you're still holding the fort down for our beloved borough. As the sign says on the Belt: "Fughgetaboutittt!" when you leave, and "How Sweet it Is!"when you return. Thank you for your voice and beautiful music over the years.
Hi Adam, fellow Brooklynite! I have so many great memories of both Sheepshead Bay and Brighten Beach. And depending on the parking availability, I'm either at Brighten or Seagate when I can break away. One of if not my favorite "Happy Place". Thanks for writing and the compliments. See you around the neighborhood! SA
You are so amazing I saw you last night at sock out cancer and got to meet you then sent my mom. I was frozen solid as I saw you in my teen years and twenties with journey and you to ME ARE journey as you were there during that time in my life so getting to meet you was a dream come true. So excited. I subscribed here and listening to your new music. Your performance in Binghamton was like omg just awe inspiring. I was so excited to meet you who I have seen 4 times now. Baited breath is amazing!
The heart and soul that went into making this song, pours out through the lyrics, the vocals and the musicianship. Thank you Steve for sharing your talents with us and the world. “We will be waiting here with Bated Breath” for your next single!
Steve, after all these years and life’s unexpected plans, it seems you’ve found your comfortable new “home”. I hope it’s a place you create many memories for yourself as well as all of us. Cheers, brother!
@@steveaugeriofficial you are very welcome. Arrival is my 2nd favorite Joureny album. To Be Alive Again is my second favorite Journey song. These are all because of you!
Your voice is sounding as good as ever, Steve. Looking forward to the full record and I’ll be buying it forthwith. Hopefully we’ll see you again soon in Cincinnati.
Goose bumps moment. Pure quality. On a wk that journey has an album out with nothing on it that sounds as good as this. I raise a glass to another piece of love on a disc (or mp3)
I thank you Andy. I do think the Journey Album will grow on you. And in my experience those wind up being my favorite albums. You' see:-) Thanks again or the compliments. Truly, SA
Your voice takes me back to 1999 the first time I saw you in Charlotte, NC as the new frontman for Journey. They would not be where they are at today if you hadn't sung your ass off. Beautiful song my friend hope you come back to NC soon.
I remember the first time i heard Arrival! My jaw dropped. It's rare to get an album where every song takes you on a journey. Till this day it is my go to album to just chill and feel good. You brought a whole new feel to the band. Arrival, generations, and red 13 are all fantastic! I only wish you did more!..But I have a bone to pick!! Why was " I'm not that way" included on the US version!! I'm trying hunt that down!! Thank you for the music you have given us!! I'm now in the process of hunting down everything you've done. Do you know if journey will ever release all the songs you did with them and when is you full album gonna come out?
Just saw you for the first time at the Chatham fair,NY tonight and came home to listen to you some more. Great concert. Would have loved to hear some of your own songs too. Hope I'm able to see you again. So e time and looking forward to your full album.
You sound scarily like Steve Perry….. man SA, your voice is beautiful either way. Really am enjoying your music a lot. Any chance you’ll be doing any signed posters? And do you have an online shop?
Hello QF5, We don't have any mercy for the record just yet but we will. I will however sign anything you like if you make it down to one of the shows. Hope to see you there! SA
@@steveaugeriofficial so happy to see you see all the messages of appreciation for your artistry. Plus to get a 💞 from you just totally made my day, week….beyond. 🥰🥰🥰 u Mr. A!
Great song Steve, this is becoming a trend lately from you, couldn't be happier. From your beginning's with Tall Stories to your "ESSENTIAL" time with Journey as they rebuilt their audience, all the hard work that you were apart of made Arnel's rise possible. Your latest solo work is the best I have seen as you shift another gear forward, bravo Steve! Well deserved!!!! P.S. Still would love to see some SA Vinyl in the future or even CD's available from an online store with some signed options...??? :-)
I understand my friend. I think it was Dennison would asked "is it better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all". I thinks it's better but that's a debate that will go on 'til the end of time. We survive:-) Take care. SA
Hi Neil, Thanks for the compliment. As far a the J-Boys, remember the Cult record, I think Rick Rubin produced it. They went from extremes from very ambient psychedelic atmospheric vibe to a very dry, in you face production. Kind of AC/DC like. It was drastic. Well, I think thier, Journeys intention was to present them selves the way they perceive themselves and that's as an Arena Rock Band. I can't argue with that. Super Live with maximum ambience. One thing you can't accuse them of is playing it safe and to that I commend them. As I mentioned earlier to Andy before, I think it'll grow on you and those tend to me my go to records. I love talking shop. Thanks for writing! SA
Hello Catherine, thank you and we almost got up your way to Situate Heritage Days Festival, MA but our schedules conflicted. I believe we'll be there next year for that. I'd love to play Boston proper. I love that town. I will be at the Twin Rivers Casino in Lincoln, RI with my friends Lou Gramm and John Payne w/Asia. That's the 80's Rock Tour August 12th.! SA
Hey Scott! We're hoping for August release now. We rescheduled not knowing the Journey Record was being released when it was and didn't want to compete in any way, shape or form. More like buried, lol. I hope you enjoy "Seven Ways "Til Sunday" when it does come your way. SA
@@steveaugeriofficial Is it August yet ??? I guess it makes sense to not want to compete with the new Journey disc (which is pretty damn good, btw…just sayin, lol). I simply can’t wait til your album finally comes out. It’s been loooong overdue. I’ve been one of ur biggest fans since u were in Journey. I saw u a number of times when u were on tour with Journey. And a couple of times with your band, and met u when u played West Springfield MA a few years ago, which was amazing to finally meet the man who brought Journey back to life again, which I’ll never forget. Looking forward to hopefully seeing u in the area again…love ya man !!!
Hey neighbor! I'm going to cut and paste what I wrote earlier. Thanks for asking: We're hoping for August release now. We rescheduled not knowing the Journey Record was being released when it was and didn't want to compete in any way, shape or form. More like didn't want to get buried, lol. I hope you enjoy "Seven Ways "Til Sunday" when it does come your way. SA
@@steveaugeriofficial I'm loving it Steve.... I used to see you in Tall Stories at the Red Spot and Lamour alot and did see you with Tyketto at Birch Hill.... I also did see you with Journey a few times
Still waiting for that interview Steve. I guess your people don't like some of my political ideas. Oh well. Free publicity brother. No worries though. Great song by the way...
Hi David, perhaps you didn’t get the message my friend. I asked my publicist to set something up for the album release which should have been July 4th. Since I released Bated Breath rather than the album let’s do it now. Please check your Instagram messages. Thanks Dave! No politics, just music baby!
Dave, Dave, Dave. Please contact me directly through www.steveaugeri.com. I was hoping to schedule the interview after the record release so that we might have more to talk about. I appreciate you and would never not accommodate you. Pardon the misunderstanding with my publicist. I have a slot open for you next week. Sincerely, SA
