I cant remember an England team that has dominated teams in any tournament and when they play the top tiee teams they are invariably played off the park. As in always. There is no mystery why. Englands players are not good enough. They have never been. The noise and hype around the premiership builds English players to be better than they are. They have poor technical skills so cant receive the ball under pressure and struggle to move on the half turn, they are incapable of of playing in tight spaces or pass through the lines. This would have brought the best out of your worldclass players and the rest of the squad would have felt comfortable coming on into those positions when needed. Spain winning the Nations league whilst England got relegated and finished bottom of their group containing Hungary, should have indicated they’d lose to the first decent team they would meet at the Euros. They’re not winning the World Cup in the heat of North America where taking care of the ball and progressing it and reserving energy over 8 games to win it.
