@@djtexas4993 Letterman was a pioneer. Changed the entire landscape of late night television and made dumb humor very smart. No way someone who came to the game almost 2 decades later deserved it first no matter how comprehensive their career is. Letterman started a production company that is very successful, directly launching the career of Ray Romano while indirectly influencing Kimmel, Conan and, yes, even Tina Fey among others.
@@shawnuel well, who’s to say when people deserve awards, versus when they get them. The main thing is, he did receive it. And I agree he is a legend in the industry. Though I see most (not all) of the prize winners being more well known as comedy actors themselves as well, in scripted film and television, and that may have played a bigger part. @@djtexas4993 Yeah. Dave isn’t an actor. He was an on air personality, though. But I agree with you. I guess timing doesn’t much matter but sometimes strikes me as weird.
That's one of the best comedian. She created and writed show 30 Rock and on March is coming up her next show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She also write for Saturday Night Live, she hosted 2015 Golden Globes with hers friend Amy Poehler... It's powerful and brilliant woman. ;)
