I've learned more about the Pacific war than any other documentary out there

prob the best documentary on the pacific war. i love irwins style, just running around the islands not giving a huhh. sitting in old planes underwater and reenacting the battles. never takes that get up off even to dive

As Americans it is very easy for us to forget the contributions the Aussies made in WW II! Didn't think Steve Irwin of all people knew anything about war, but wearing khakis while venturing inside old, rusted wrecks is foolhardy at best, dangerous at worst, and did he even consider unexploded ordnance, I kid you not when I say there is probably some still out there! America took a huge toll during that war but in the end we and the Aussies came out victorious!

Steve's grandfather served in the war. He was fascinated by it since a young child and was actually very educated about military history.

Damn Steve was brave.

When I watch the death-defying things he did that he managed to live through, but what killed him is a typically docile stingray, it just makes me shake my head in bewilderment. Life is definitely stranger than fiction.
