This man is one of the most accomplished musicians I've ever seen! How hard would it have been for him to clap way off the beat and yet still keep the beat on the bass drum? Superb timing and superb showmanship!
Steve always gives it 110%,,total legend,and never misses a beat no matter how much he clowns around. He’s always at the the right gig!🤣🤣👌 gotta wonder just how many drummers he has inspired!
It's simply amazing how the drum hits are all consistent and in control, that takes a lot of work to perfect that with his body movements. He is out of this world talented.
It still amazes me that even with all the “magic” showmanship, he’s got perfect timing. Has a metronome in his head. Most entertaining drummer I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen him playing at a drum show/clinic and other very accomplished drummers, including Brian Hitt of REO SPEEDWAGON couldn’t take their eyes off Steve. They were ALL clearly in awe.
I met Steve a couple of times. They were doing an outdoor gig and it was 90 degrees, so I asked him how he keeps his energy level up and he told me he eats chocolate chip cookies. No lie.

So animated, energetic and very entertaining. How he does all that moving around and trick sticks and still keeps it solid is amazing. I love watching his videos. Always makes me laugh!
Steve, this is why I am always looking at the drummer in any live show. Drums are just plain cool but it so entertaining when the drummer is a showman. Keith Moon, Clem Burk, John Barbata, Dino Danelli etc. we're all just so fun to look at as well as being excellent drummers.

I love being a professional drummer of many moons. I've never been a fan of stick twirling or playing for the attention. It's all about the listener for me. It's obvious how talented Steve is. 😊😊
