They don't make songs like this anymore sadly. The iconic Steve Perry is a lifelong admirer of the immortal Sam Cooke and one can really hear it on this classic gem.
Angela, if anyone can't see the truly "Old Soul" that you are, then they are not watching the same video that I am. There is no disguising your honest emotions when it comes to music. And I think that's what draws so many people to your channel. It's what has truly captured me, and why I keep returning. Keep Being You, Angela. WE LOVE IT.
Steve Perry is amazing, the best lead singer ever. I have been a fan since i first heard him sing in the summer of 1979. I have been a fan of Steve's and Journey since then.
It's nice to see a new generation discover Steve Perry and his career with journey as well as solo efforts..TRULY A LEGEND THAT WITH HIS VOICE MADE THE WORLD A HAPPY PLACE
When male singers sang songs about being vulnerable! This song breaks me every single time even over 30+ years ago. Glad it touches you as much it touches countless others! A classic.
You just won another suscriber, another woman that melts to Steve perry's amazing voice. Foolish Heart, a powerful ballads for a broken too many times heart, a masterpiece 🌹
Hello Angela: Can't go wrong with Steve Perry. There has just never been anyone with a voice you might mistake for his. Completely unique, immediately identifiable, expressive and emotionally intense. Thank you for reacting to this! 👍👍❤❤
I just love your reaction here. It made me remember how much I loved this song when it first came out and when I first listened to it. It was around 1:33 in when you broke into a smile and it felt so familiar. That moment like you say when you knew the song and his voice were just penetrating your soul. His voice, those lyrics ... magic.
I'm so glad your generation is visiting the music of the 80's. Especially the Ballads. We grew up with the hope of finding that one true love that would last forever. And today you don't hear about love and compassion. And that's sad.
I was in high school when this song came out in 1984. I wasn't a huge Journey or Steve Perry fan at the time but I recognized they were very good. You're right though; his voice and performance really does melt in. Keep exploring the 70's and 80's. That is when all that happened in music. Today....not so much.
I love the reaction of you young people when you discover music from 30, 40 or even 50 years ago. Music I grew up on, music that was made by talented artists without auto-tune. Music you could slow dance to at the club or even in your kitchen.
Enjoyed your reaction Angela and I agree with you about Steve, a unique and beautiful voice. A couple Journey songs I recommend are "Feeling that Way" and "Send Her My Love". Thanks for your channel!
I love Steve Perry's voice and I love that he was influenced by Sam Cooke and that does explain a lot! Rod Stewart was also influenced by Sam Cooke and I love his voice too!
Angela. Yes Steve Perry is my favorite singer. 😍 there are so many by Him you have yet to hear that I know you will ❤ love 💕 so let's start the Journey. Pun intended. Of hearing some of His best I want to share them with you. Check out the song( Melody). Thanks 😊 🙏 👍
He is the real deal and he has many great songs. Try Who's Crying Now. Winds of Change and Wheel in the Sky from Journey. It was a huge controversy when Journey first picked him up and changed their style somewhat to appeal to a much broader audience but there is no doubt it was the right move. He is amazing and well worth exploring his work, both with Journey and solo. Enjoy pretty lady, you brighten my day... 🎵
First of all, this is a beautiful song. I don’t know what kind effort it takes to create a song like that but the first time I heard it I was taken immediately and tuned everything out to hear it and learn it. Still a quality song to this day.
Love this song, Angela. Another Steve Perry song that will make you cry is One More Time. You can find the track on the extended For the Love of Strange Medicine album. Gorgeous. You can also find it here on Steve Perry's RU-vid channel. :-)
This song was done by I'm thinking later in the 80s by Atlantic Star I remember because a younger Denzel Washington was in the video. hell of a song both versions.
Bought this cassette when it came out and wore it to a nub. Also, bought the first Journey albums in the late 70’s. He definitely has a amazing voice. Great reaction. I’m glad you can appreciate his talent now.

Love your reactions. Send Her My Love live and Girl Cant Help It live by Journey are great tracks that I know you will love and should be on your list. Shame On The Moon by Bob Seger is also a great track that also should be on your list..
interesting to see the actual records on the video,i have the cd of this album,in 84 cd's were just coming onto the market, this was around 6 years before sony purchased cbs records
Ha! Made me smile when I heard u mention Perry’s big influence was Sam Cooke… cuz that’s what I was going to tell you! And ur so right that this song really brings out that Cooke sound! I’d love for u to listen to “Missing You” - there’s a live version floating around YT that’s even better than the studio cut. It’s the ‘94 show in SanFran.
Hi Angela, I just found your channel a few weeks ago and I’m loving it! Your reactions are awesome. If you like Heart, check out Heart honoring Led Zeppelin at Kennedy Center. It’s an awesome performance! Keep doing what you do, it’s fun to watch!
Really enjoy your reactions. Very beautiful young lady. If you take requests, I'd like to see your reaction to, I remember you, by skid row. It's a rock band but this song is a ballad. Beautiful song.
One of the greatest songs of all time. Have you seen the video? Here's a request/ suggestion: "Try Again" by Champaign . Or "One in a Million You" by Larry Graham
