Steve Perry recalls moments with late girlfriend that inspired his return to music 

I have to admit I started to cry. I see that Steve's insecurities have made him blind to how much people actually love him. He has allowed himself to move away from the fame game and because of that he has remained such a sweet normal loving person. But he has been through so much and it makes me want to take care of him. I wonder how many more out there feel this way? He needs to be reminded that just having him take a picture is special to us.

You can’t help but feel his pain. I can’t imagine falling deeply in love and having that person pass away 18 months later. He is so humble, sweet, kind and is really oblivious to how much we as fans adore him. Just taking the time to let someone have a photo with him or have a conversation with him is more than most famous people allow but means the world to us. He was a big part of our youth and he was blessed with such an amazing gift that he has shared with us and continues to share with us. Thanks for the memories Steve!

You didn't hear as much from or about Journey when Steve perry left. He was the group's life support!!

Not only does Steve Perry have the best voice in the industry, he is also one of the most down to earth individuals who is not afraid to speak from his heart. He is a very rare indicidual who can reach the peak of fame and not loose his individuality, his down to earth way of life. Love this guy.

Steve Perry holds a special place in my heart. I met my husband at a Journey benefit concert for Valley Children's Hospital (Fresno) in 1983. He is also from my hometown, Hanford, CA, and his Mom lived down the street from me before she passed. My grandson is a senior at Lemoore H.S., where Steve Perry graduated H.S. I always wanted to meet him as our life paths have crossed many times. I have now lived in SF for over 20 years and see him at Giant's games, where they always play his songs, "Don't Stop Believing" and "City by the Bay." His songs are magic and the backdrop to my life's love story and the creation of a marriage, children and, now, 6 grandchildren. Please keep singing Steve!

I watched this interview with Steve and I was very touched. I saw tears in his eyes and a broken voice, I saw that Steve was about to cry. I realized that he is a very vulnerable and emotional person, and that's good. It's very easy with these. But now I want to turn to Steve and say that: - Life is such a thing, you don’t know where you will find it and where you will lose it. And people come into our life, some for a while, and then they leave it the same way, and someone stays there forever, because that's how it should be. And it happens that you can meet a person completely unexpectedly, perhaps from another country and after talking you will understand that he is the same as you. You don’t need to close yourself off from everyone and go into your own world, you need to move on, because the journey is not over yet. And this means that interesting and better things await us ahead, and no matter how old a person is, if he walks, breathes, and feels, then he lives. And life tests us, teaches us. But in Russia they say: - Time does not heal the pain of loss, but it teaches how to live with it and makes it clear that life goes on, and there will again be both joys and sorrows. And I wish you only joy.

I am crying right now. Kelli loved Steve so much, and I can see still how much he misses and adores her. My heart breaks for him. I know that feeling all to well. My first boyfriend Frank passed away December 18th, 2021 and I never had the chance to say goodbye, and that breaks my heart. But also I have loved Steve Perry since I was 16 years old, and I am 55 now and that candle will forever burn for him. He has such a beautiful heart and soul, and it reflects in every song he sings. He is simply a beautiful person. 💙🙏❤️🎤🥰🇵🇹

Steve is all about his fans. God bless you Steve. My dad raised me listening to Journey, now I’m a huge Journey fan. I met my soulmate and love of my life in 2009 and I know exactly what you mean, every moment was magical. I never forget feeling how lucky I was having him in my life. I was very sick with a brain injury, he was always by my side. I lost him at the age of 49 on 5/2019 and it has crushed me. I am a shell of my former self, I can’t wait to listen to Traces. God bless you for finding the will to keep that promise, I’m trying so hard daily to put one foot in front of the other my friend. I am with you.

Oh my goodness,I love this man,I’ve never seen him emotional ,I’ve been a fan for many years ,he will never know this but his music kept me from committing suicide . I was in an abusive relationship for five years ,at night when I would go to bed ,i would lock my door ,put my head phones on ,and his beautiful voice would put me to sleep ,he’s really had quite a tragic life ,i not only love him but I admire him greatly,for me no Steve Perry …no Journey .

I knew Kellie for a very short time. We went to the same gym in the 90's. Outgoing and sweet. I had no idea she had cancer and passed.
