Smith never ball tampered, Warner and Bancroft did, he was just the captain so he got punished. Paine averages 33 which is actually pretty good for a wicketkeeper, only Gilchrist and Haddin are ahead of him in batting average for Australian wicketkeepers. He does suck at review though, you got that correct.

in technical language Smith's technique is still poor but he is one of the greatest batsman.....i think it's just his hardwork that makes him that great

His still has a very poor technique but his hand eye coordination is out of this world just like Brandon McCallum (But he used his ability for hitting only)

not really, he averaged over 50 in first class before this game. this was played in july - in march 2010 he scored 177 vs tasmania then 100 vs south australia the week after. but yeah he had too many weaknesses to be a great test batsman in his early years

foxy mcfox I knew he had a good first class record but I think he found the step up to test level hard at first. I’m sure I remember seeing an interview he did that said his technique wasn’t as good as say when he played in the 13/14 ashes. He certainly didn’t play well in England in his first couple of ashes series, certainly nothing like the 2019 series!! One of the best players I’ve ever seen now and has been for the last 5 or 6 years along with Kohli and Stokes.

Mate really? The ball was nipping about the whole test match and they got more right than they got wrong. They at least gave the benefit of the doubt to the batsman more often than not. You'd be better placed looking at some of the poor shot selection and very good bowling rather than blaming the umpiring

Jon Kerr um not really blaming them But u May be seeing in today’s time Alim Dar, Paul Rifle,Nijel Long and So make pretty gd decisions. The advantages go both ways for the batsmen N the bowlers at the same match n in the same time.
