One of my favorite songs of all time. I can never get tired of listening to this song. Every time I listen to it, I want to cry. Steve must have been expressing something profound in his life when he composed this.
I saw an interview and he said that when he was recording this song he was in the middle of a water fast, day 5 or so, and that the melody was given to him as previous poster stated. Id say that he was pretty raw, emotionally and spiritually at that moment.
@@ajanpursikonna1131 of this s*** sucked , and anyone who plays knows it dudes in a spiral downtrodden funk a melon fasting on fast cars I know he's capable of more or he wouldn't be this famous he's kind of way out even farther than satriani's and Johnson even Zap pA
I'm from korea & watched his play in korea,,this music, maybe 92 or 93 in seoul 88 actually ..playing this music..string was broken and everyone was surprised...but he isnt... & change the string & play ,I'll never never forget in my life at that time he is the GOD!!!
First time I saw or even heard of Steve Vai he was playing with Zappa. I saw them in Chicago in the early 80's. At first, I was confused as to who he was and why he was on stage with Frank, but by the end of the show, I was a fan. A lot of respect for Steve. Not just his contribution to his instrument which is pretty extensive, but as a person.
One of the best that I know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite guitarist 20 years ago and still my favourite, I bought the Passion and Warfare picture disc vinyl back in the day when it came out and listened to it so many times that my parents were fed up :)
Flippin eck steve has aged 😳 What an absolute guitar legend he is and probably one of my favourites and this is one of my favourite tunes of Steve’s too keep rockin Steve 👍
A Mozart of our time. Living legend. A fresh 2022 live version of this epic track, even better than the original studio version. That's Steve. I love this man, humble and virtuoso at the same time. Exceptional.
Anyone who is a musician knows that there were many mistakes. But they are not noticeable for those who do not know about music. I don't think we'll ever see him play 100% like the first time he exploded his career.
Master piece So beautiful, live, For crying out loud Listen to his Ibanez And his pickupps Hos Thea just suck all The overdrive and every Last detail You Will hear
is it just me or dose anyone else think he got some inspiration for this song from the theme music from kung fu the tv series staring David caradine. love the song.
