Started playing guitar back in 2011 my mom had this song as a ringtone on her cell phone and in 2013 we saw that Steve Vai is touring and had a concert in my country we rushed to buy tickets that was my very first concert that I went to I was like 11 years old at the time And I fell in love with Vai’s music and his guitar the JEM I am now 21 years old and a proud owner of an Ibanez JEM Steve vai’s signature guitar My favorite part about in this masterpiece is 4:45 still gives me goosebumps till this day
By far the most beautiful melody and most breathtaking guitar solo I've ever heard in my 50 years of living and 38 years of playing. Still, there are parts in this solo that haunt me as to how Steve came up with them. I could sit and drill this man with questions for days. About music, guitar, and life. He is THE BAR.
The violins in this song added a whole new dimension to it. I was privileged to see them do it live on this tour. It literally almost made me cry it was so beautiful.
The crowd doesn't move much....they just want to absorb each note and pay attention. One of the reasons I love Steve Vai is his simplicity as a human being.
As I would like YOU to see this song of mine ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS, it would be very GOOD for everyone to see this song about Forgiveness. I'll leave the link below ⬇⬇ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k6asAkxaoKc.html
Of all his live shows, this one is my favorite. It's elegantly produced, not over stated and every member's talents are showcased so well. It's a masterpiece.
My ears heard it, my eyes saw it, but i still cant describe it. Is this what it sounds like when angels sing?! I thank you- all of you- for using the gift of immense talent that God has given you to lift our spirits!
Back in 2011, on a new year night..me and my friend are wishing each other happy new year. And we played this song ,as the song to welcome the new Year 2011. But sadly after a few months. My friend left the Earth. This song always bring back the memories. And yes. Its his fav musical piece too. I miss you Erich. 1994 to 2011
This is such a beautiful song. it takes me places. My BF could play this so beautifully, I always wanted him to play it for me. RIP Jessie Lee Monroe 🎶🎵🎼🎸🎤😢💔💖💔💖💔
An easy SV method. His vibrato is accomplished by using his finger to draw dime-sized circles. Not just wiggling up/down or left/right. It's why he has such a signature vibrato. Keep going man and repost in time. Rooting for you.
At 3:55 he just goes OFF and displays why he is known as one of the best. The way he moves from his whammy hits to keeping the same rhythm as he moves up the neck is amazing. The flourishes afterwards can only be accomplished by the long fingers he displays during this powerful crescendo.
Steve doesn't play the guitar he is the guitar it's like it becomes an extension of himself the guitar allows him to express the language of music through his heart and soul. Steve is a guitar God
Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are the DaVincis and Einsteins of our time. It's an amazing time for music, it has been since these guys started their careers. I'm so glad to have witnessed their Awh and inspiring excellence and significance. Bravo!
He never ceases to amaze me. I've heard this song a thousand times, on cassettes, CDs, TV and tons of videos, and it never gets old! This is the first one I've seen with the violinist though. It's just phenomenal! I like the one with the orchestra, as well.
Should be "For the love of Steve"! Gotta love him for his play and for his featuring new artist and let 'em stand in the light. Great player, great man, period!
This woman makes me feel a peace that I cant explain. Shes beauty and the way she plays... Isnt about "wish" her, but I only wants to listen to this music and see her to feel this transcendental peace

Not a big fan of his style of music, but he is incredible at what he does and is one of the most unique and original guitarists ever. His technique is incredible, an In a day when all the shredders kind of sound the same, Steve does not. When you hear Vai, you KNOW it's Vai.
People Steve Vai called the future of guitar: Plini of the band Plini Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders Tim Henson of Polyphia All guitarists of Periphery Seriously, check them out. They're not like Vai live, but damn do they make your face melt in astonishment and cry out in beauty just the same when it comes to the studio. Especially Plini and Abasi... Sometimes your brain just can't process how they performed a certain passage or wrote a certain melody... It's powerful stuff.
"Everyone knows this song too well...we're gonna do this instead!" Mr. Vai (and company) Thanks for the enjoyment, the inspiration and the autograph and selfie at NaMM!
My favorite part is the look on his face, when he realizes how magnificent each note he's hitting sounds, because its just so unique to what anyone has done on guitar before
Walking a fine line between pagan and Christian .....and tasteful and musical masturbation. I’d say it’s both and either way the best instrumental I’ve ever heard.
