Possibly. Maybe these movies he made were hinting towards bland comedy or did haphazardly thinking the viewers will never notice. I only watched 3 minutes of a segal movie, ever, and never again because of lameness and repetition/ imitation of other killing/ destructive movie's in the same age era. I doubt that's true and it's unfair to talk that way about them, but it's true that he tried it with every one of these unfortunate people. He doesn't have the star power anymore to kick actresses out of the movie when they refuse him. He used to be able to. Just cut their scenes.
