She probably meant it in an emotional way, she's not able to love herself, she feels weak by herself, useless.

And sure, combat wasn't her intended purpose. But she WAS made for play. And you'd be surprised at how much the two cross over.

To be fair to the Crystal Gems, when one side is going for the kill and the other to stop them without hurting them, the peace keepers are going to come out with far more damage. Besides that, Spinel partly blames herself for what happened to her. She didn't think she was lovable enough or a good enough friend because it's easier to believe she was at fault rather than just Pink Diamond never cared about her or at least stopped caring and there was nothing Spinel could do to change it. She couldn't take that kind of pain and regret so rather than turn it further inward she started taking it out on other people. She's comparing herself unfavorably to Steven who sought peace and understanding rather than take his anger and pain out on others.

Sorry if I'm being annoying but I would just like to say; a divorce is a really emotionally impactful ordeal for everyone around, having to observe something like that and being upset about it is completely normal. It doesn't mean you're weak. If anything, in a way, it's kinda good, cuz it means you have enough of a heart to care about things. And yeah, it's probably super painful and pain sucks, but sometimes... It's better than nothing. Maybe you'll never forget, but with each passing day, things get a little easier. Maybe it isn't a linear stream, maybe sometimes it's two steps back and one forward, but other days it'll be two forward and none back. What matters is that you're still marching toward better, therefore meaning that you are changing, day by day. Just a little, but it's happening. Don't put yourself down bro, it's gonna be aight. It's kinda hard for me to know what to say cuz I don't know much about ya, but a divorce causing you pain in no way makes you weak, just wanted to say.
