In this video we review the NEW Stevens 334 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor
The Stevens 334 is a new addition to the Stevens family for 2023, and maybe the best budget bolt action rifle to hit the market. Made in turkey by ATA Arms, and actually the same rifle as the ATA Turqua, so in short, a rebranded ATA Turqua, (with some minor changes). While its important to note that it is really just a rebranded Ata Turqua, this is actually a good thing, or at least with this specific model. Previously we have reviewed the Turqua and it performed excellently, they got the accuracy done better than almost any other budget rifle company, or any other rifle company, the 3 shot accuracy of the Stevens 334 and the Turqua have rivalled rifles 4 times this price point. The Stevens 334 is absolutely no slouch in performance, and a serious top contender for the best budget bolt action rifle on the market for 2023
Info from Savage/Stevens:
334 SYNTHETIC
Where value and performance meet, is where the Stevens Model 334 bolt action rifle excels. The rifle features a crisp trigger and a 60-degree bolt lift to allow faster loading on follow-up shots. The barrel is free-floating and button rifled for consistent accuracy. Offered in three popular calibers, the Stevens Model 334 is available in a Turkish Walnut stock option with a silver bolt or a black synthetic stock with a matte black action to match.

ATA manufacture the Weatherby Orion and also make a very fine line of sporting and hunting shotguns that are actually very nice with beretta clone machining.I have a couple of the turqua line of rifles and am very satisfied and at the prices of the Stevens model I purchased one in the wood stock and one in the polymer. The prices are incredible and much cheaper here in the US than in canada. IF you are thinking I suggest now is the time, these rifles are a no brainer.

Interesting, my walnut 334 doesn’t have that goop there on the trigger. The whole bolt head is just machined off. I was able to get some adjustment on the other screw after heating it with a soldering iron. Made the trigger a bit nicer and more predictable.

i'm buying one for my b-day! was hoping the synthetic version would have that nice cycling bolt as the walnut one. i'm planning on doing a camo paint/wrap job and would feel like a criminal doing that on wood! Since you have tried both is there a difference in weight or balance between the two? I am seriously doubting between wood and polymer after seeing this review. Also comparing to something like a ruger american, would you say the black coated bolt is (much) worse? you can't imagine how happy i was seeing a review on this from you, since where i live its sold under a different name and there are waaaay less reviewers that also did savage, ruger, etc... love your reviews man! also a fun lil thing; over here ruger americans go for around 1000usd and tikkas for 1400-1500. brenner is about 800. Saying im jealous of the prices on that side of the pond would be an understatement!

I hear a lot about 243, 6PPC and I can't remember if 223 or 22-250 were popular there. One mans channel is 260 rips. So I would assume it's popular. I've seen Safari type stuff as well. I guess it depends on where you're at in Europe because the UK hasn't any large game that I know of.

don't come here if you want to keep your guns, every 2 years they hit gun owners pretty hard. they just took away handguns, and all AR15 and almost all variant. and there trying to pas basically a semi auto ban and a magazine ban soon. plain hunting guns are pretty safe for now. medical might be "free" but its the worst service of the first worlds, like waiting 12 hours in a waiting room (this happens frequently)

@@EpikArms That would stink that they're taking away everything and the poor service from the Hospitals. I hear that electric is free also but maybe just from the hydro power plant? Are pump shot guns still legal, that new CZ 22lr that they have in Australia is the semi auto that locks back every time you shoot and has a lever you push so the bolt will drop, looks exactly like the semi except the switch. Maybe stuff will get better. I saw the video of the guys doing snow removal not sure I'd want to pay for that every winter.

The Mossberg patriot/atr rifles are built like garbage compared to other budget guns. Savage Axis, Stevens 334, Ruger A, Rem 783 , T/C Venture (if can find), are all better made than the Mossberg. Fact are facts, even though some report decent accuracy. Many seem to report otherwise. The biggest problem is the stock to action design, its just very poorly done.
