Stevens Transport, Orientation Day #2

I just flew out to Nashville to meet my trainer on Monday.

I don't recall.....the manuvers in orientation are not a pass or fail, they are more to help get you used to different type of backing in a truck.

Um......I didn't have to......and I can't imagine why one would have to?.....but, who knows.......lol......sounds suspicious IMO......

No orientation is not hard, it's mostly sitting watching videos, listening to personal talk about the various functions within the company, and filling out some paperwork. Then in evenings doing a few truck maneuvers.

So far they have met all my expectations, and their promises! I'm loving it. I am a week (approximately) away from getting keys to my own truck and going solo. I feel well prepared to handle that, knowing that I still have more to learn, and that Stevens Transport is behind me on this learning journey.

@@007380 one year. IMO, anything less than a year, isn't really getting to know any company. Coming into Stevens, I had the impression there weren't a lot of 10+ year employees.....quite the opposite, the list of million plus mile employee still here is huge! So they doing something right for a lot of people. Also my orientation class had probably a dozen returning drivers as well.

At what point in orientation do you receive your hard copy cdl license

You will go to a Stevens Transport approved physical (or there on the dallas yard). They won't accept just any physical.

Expect to make 500-1200 gross a week. Dont count on the 1k a week garanteee either

Any driver not getting the 1k guarantee is not doing their job. Period. Only exception is on week of hometime.

@@fpstrucking not true you are spreading misinformation. If you have one breakdown one day out of the week even if it’s repaired on the side of the road it just qualifies you from the thousand dollar week guarantee.. If you are even one day and shut down for the week that disqualifies you too . If you do a 34 hour reset that disqualifies you too . If you don’t get enough miles and I forget what the exact miles is requirement, you do not get the thousand dollar week guarantee . Please present the facts
