I love you, Twins. I'm 71 years old and watching you discover Etta James, is like hearing her for the first time again. Can't leave out Amy Winehouse or Prince. And you took on Radiohead!! It's not a good time in the world right now. The news is bad and we can't seem to get along, but when I watch you I smile and smile.

🤠Stevie Ray often said, "It's time we took the color out of the blues!" Everyone on that stage loved and respected each other. Albert King often referred to Stevie as his white son, and Stevie called Albert his black Dad. Beautiful! 🎸🎸🎸

@@robertcoates6800 🤠In this time of racial division it's important to remember the words Stevie often spoke during his performances of "Life Without You." Such as: "We're all brothers and sisters," "We're here to take care and love one another," "Treat others like you want yourself to be treated," "Never push anyone else down just because you're up," and many, many more. Those words should remind us all what life is all about. His was cut too short, so let's all carry on his message! 👍🙏🎸🎸🎸

SRV is so strung out on drugs at that time. We grew up close to each other. Everyone from Oak Cliff was so thrilled when he gave drugs and alcohol up. RIP my friend!!!

I was at SRV's last concert and I will always remember the closing set....Stevie, Jimmy Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy - a phenomenal line-up of AMAZING blues men!!! This was an amazing version of one of my favorite Stevie songs.

B. B. King said of Stevie Ray Vaughan " The greatest Guitar Player ever, Alive or Dead" AS for King himself the same could be said. A. King And Butterfield were considered Legends... This is greatness you are hearing.. I had the Privilege of see SRV in the 80s and King in the 90s I cherish every moment of those memories.

Yes‼️. Now these are some kind of Blues Brothers! Stevie Ray grew up idolizing Albert King and BB King. You can hear Albert King's licks and influences in Stevie's playing. They all had a close friendship for the rest of their lives. Stevie Ray was the first white performer to win the WC Handy Blues Foundation Entertainer of the year Award. BB used to say I play the blues in sentences, Stevie plays them in paragraphs🎸🎶. You guys should check out a recording session SRV and Albert King did together called In Session. It is 90 minutes but each set can be watched separately. My favorite from that is Don't Lie To Me.
