From the award winning series I co-created and produced, Stevie Ray Vaughn blistered the show with two songs on this episode and then asked if he could come back on a later show to play a duet with a then-unknown 19 year-old blind blues guitarist Jeff Healey. Legendary live performance on this series, no lip syncing, no retakes. It was the closest a viewer could come to being in the front row at an SRV bar performance.

I will never forget the day Stevie died. I was at work, and the news came over the radio, I shed a couple of tears that day, he was enjoying the release of “In Step” and his new found sobriety. A true musical genius.

It would have been great to have you do this video back-to-back with their music video of "Superstition".... That video is so entertaining, with different superstitions featured, and SRV and Double Trouble in a recording session of the song in Stevie Wonder's own studio. A black cat causes all kinds of mischief during the session. And Stevie Wonder makes a cameo appearance at the end of the video!

This song was recorded by Stevie Wonder in the early '70s. His band performed it on Sesame Street and it was one of the most amazing, funkiest performances I've ever heard. One commenter on RU-vid wrote "this song was brought to you by the letters F, U, N, and K." I realize this sounds like I'm joking, but I'm not.

There are almost no people and even less musicians that make me feel Jealous. And SRV does! Damn! I am so Jealous for him being soooo good on guitar ) And the jealosy has a good reason - LOL. Damn i love you guys,, easy goin, oldschool feets on the ground personalities. but we gotta talk about this shredding... Stevie may not be my man, but i love how he did my probly highlight of shredding/solo (mostly guitarists) but bring me organs, saxophones whatever... What i mean is someone start shredding it out and just goes on and on...and on.. in an endless eargasm keep finding new ways to progressivly keep it up without "stumble on themsleves". Just as a statement that im "Not dead yet"
